Skoda Pickup 1.6 Immobilizer not working

Featured Replies

Hello!

This is my first post on this website and I am happy to recieve all the help I can get. So to start, I have lost the keys to my skoda felicia pickup 1.6 and I need to get new ones. I went to the dealer and they said that my key code was lost and new keys couldnt be made. This made me think of other solutions. I went to the scrapyard to acquire a new ignition lock and key to replace my old one. Note that I took the black box I think is the immobilizer.

Fast forward to when I replaced both ignition lock and the immobilizer. I started it but it dies after a second. Gave them the key to program to see if that would help, bit still the same. I used an OBD2 scanner to see if the faultcodes would help me and it gave me these two

Tried to erase the but they just kept coming back.

Any idea on how I fix it? or if I can completely disable the immobilizer system.

Not necessary, a good locksmith specialized in cars could create new ones with the stock immobilizer.

He can also cut new matched with he second immobilizer.

If you don't want any of these you can install a start button which has it's own immobilizer.

You also need to pair immo unit to the ECU - that's done through diagnostic tools, but I can't say how, but I had it done when I changed ECU in my car.

An ECU programmer can match the new ECU to old immobilizer or the the new immobilizer to the old ECU.

I have done it to my car twice and kept the old keys.

You can but it's not wise, it's an anti-theft measure.

As I understand it, the black box just passes the code on for the ECU to compare it. You can probably get an immob-off ECU off Ebay, or try a company called VAGTronics in Stoke-on-trent.

An imulator into stock ECU won't work?
