Some People find it silly to name their cars, but i've named every Car i've owned. This fabia of mine i've now had for a month, it still yet to be named.

So I'm Asking do you name yours and I need help to name mine.

Mine's affectionately (I hope) named "Mongrel" due to it being a pd100 TDI but has rather a lot of vRS parts in it, especially in the engine bay.

Yes, mines called a Saab 93............. or have I missed the point ?

My Octy vRS is affectionately known as Eleanor (named by a friend and it just stuck)

We have always named our cars. We had a Shogun called The Mighty Hippo, because mum would tow horse with it and latin for horse is hippo (or something). We then got Lucky the escort because I was reading a **** King-Smith book with a dragon called Lucky. Then we had a volvo called Graham after Graham Norton (why I am not sure) then we had Vladimir or Vlad because it was the first that came into my mum's head.

What is worrying is I went to my skoda dealer today to look for a new head lamp, and I refered to my car as Vlad and no one batted an eyelid. In fact the guy I know there because I have been calling him about jobs every couple of months asked me if I had a vRS yet.

It is important to name and personify cars - gives them a sence of identity.

I don't name them, but SWMBO does. Only restriction I have is that they must be female, as all cars are surely?

So we now have Penny, and Susan previously!

My 1st ever car a Fiat Panda was called Percy! But other cars I have had haven't had names although we did have a Renault Megane which we sometimes called Megan but don't think that counts! Plus it was usually proceeded by swearing as I hated that car!

my car has no name. i often refer to bengie's octy as "your f*ck*ng skoda" or "your piece of **** skoda" but his saph is sarah. and then of course, there's mavis.........

Fabia vRS was known as 'Floj'

MR2 is known as 'Mulory'

I called my dog dave so maybe I am not the best namer, my new Octy is going to be called Ollly, in five years I can change it to oily

My wife calls ours Sherman ( a tank after her streetka ).

Ours are called the "black car" and the "blue car" by the girls. or the "Oct'y" or "Fabbie"

Anyway, back to cars. Most people will know that my Golf cabrio was called Velma, and as a tribute to her but without making her feel replaced I have called the VRS Big V
