Hi Frae Sunny Scotland!!!

Featured Replies

Just signed up and thought I'd say hello!:)

Just bought a 51 plate Octavia 1.8T 4X4 Estate, with 65,000 on the clock and 1 previous owner with full service history.

Very pleased with it in the three days I've had it and once I get used to it, I plan to do some engine work and ECU tuning.:D

Looking forward to picking the brains of all you experts out there.

Cheers for now,

Steve

Hi mate, fellow Scot here

What part of our great nation do you hail from?

Hello,

I am in Aberdeenshire, and thinking on getting a 4x4 Octoavia, how do you find yours?

Are there many used 4x4's around? I need a 4x4 for the long drive through country lanes I have to work.

Hi Borderspeed!

Where abouts are you based?

I'm a Big fan of SW Scotland- Newton Stewart, Kircudbright etc

im from lanarkshire :)

Morning from Falkirk:wave23d:

Used to spend a bit of time in Gala a few years back.

Neil

welcome to the 4x4 club for the discerning owners who know best !!

I think you will find the 4x4 a very accomplished vehicle.

Re tuning a remap by a compotent company should see 220-225 bhp & an incredibly useable car but beware if you catch the bug anything can happen. take a look here at mine, it sort of evolved ! http://www.briskoda.net/forums/octavia/whos-octavia/57780/?highlight=FURBALL

For any of you with high mileage 4x4's I still have the original suspension & front brakes that came off at 8000 miles

Welcome mate.

Edinbugger here (well almost!)

Hi Guys & Girls,

WOW!! What a welcome:thumbup:

Nice to see its such a friendly forum, and that I'm not the only JOCK in the village!

Thanks for making me so welcome and I look forward to chatting to you as time goes on.

Are there any gatherings up this neck of the woods?

I live in Broughton, a wee village in the northwest of the Borders region, close to South Lanarkshire.

For Scottish Lassie I can't fault the vehicle and travelling on dodgy roads in the winter is why I got the car(Have V8 Land Rover for when it gets really bad!).

I bought mine on a private sale and must admit round here people that have them tend to keep them, but you should manage to find one around the Aberdeen area.

Anyway, enough from me I'm off to search the forum:D

Regards,

Steve

we just had a meet here in The lakes... not far from the border ;) you'd be welcome when we have the next one, check out the north west section in the meets.... (I'm gonna head into Scotland for a meet one day... love the Scottish roads :)

Weclome from Central scotland :)

Hi and Welcome:orb_wave:

Nice to meet you guys and I'm sure we can get together at some point.

Also thanks for the invite to the North West, I'm sure a cross border raid could be arranged both ways.

Regards,

Steve

Big hello from Livingston but originally from Arbroath up on the east coast.
