When i ordered 5 weeks ago i got quite excited about which number i would choose and i spoke to friends about it with a big daft grin on my face,well that grin has now gone and i couldn't give a **** about the number,i just want one any one! Better go and lie down now.

Short of me phoning the dealer up and demanding to see:

- a copy of the fax from the delivery company saying "delivery Wednesday AM"

- a photo of it coming off the transporter

- receipts for it getting fuelled up

- webcam shots of it being PDI'd and valeted

then yes, it's a definite. I didn't want to say anything until I actually got it, but couldn't resist.

Perhaps I should have asked the person who lives across the road from the dealership to keep watch......

given that there's 1 at Broxburn for me, 1 in Chathams Edinburgh, 1 in Halifax (see Mr Grumpy's "Nr 28" thread), and another 8-10 somewhere in Scotland (depending on where they were before/after Stirling services) I would guess that those "1 each" deliveries where each dealer gets 1 car to the showroom are being fulfilled at the moment.

How soon you get your car depends on where you are on the list at that dealer, and even if you are No 1, it also depends on whether your dealer wants to selfishly keep that 1st example in the showroom, to try and generate more sales, or -like mine - considers it to be a better advert actually out on the road.

Mine's having its pdi either tomorrow or Friday. Ready after that - Grimsby.

Just wonder if after all this time and given that we all have put a deposit down on something we have not seen. Will they be anyone asking for the deposit back once they have seen the car in the showroom?

Spoke to dealer yesterday got my number plate,he put order in on the computer and reckons delivery end of next week,he is calling skoda today to confirm a delivery date, will keep you posted...Had a nightmare trying to get insurance as no one had it on the system gone for Norwich union in the end they classed it as a normal vrs and added on the leather etc, I'm 31 full no claims 3 points sp30,my partner 29 provisional,

I haven't counted, but there seems to be frenzied activity from maybe 30 Briskodians about their order for the vRS Ltd Edition within this thread, and there might be a further 20 calmly and silenetly watching what is going on.

So that's orders for 50 Fabia vRS Ltd Edition. There are perhaps another 10 within the Skoda UK head office/press fleet (?); total 60.

What about the other 940 that Skoda UK have got and will have to sell?

Here's my first post - I've been one of the silent (and quite calm) observers.

I'm waiting for our's from broxburn (actually the missus-to-be is - she'll be watching too (Hi Buttercup!)). Maybe third on the list at broxburn, so the calmness levels are decreasing.

I reckon they'll be available with discounts before long!

re: insurance, my cheapest quote has been about £350 - but this'll be the first time I've ever had insurance, so I have no NCB

Just been to my local dealer in Coventry where they have one in the showroom. Looked very nice and the colour suited it. They wouldn't budge on price though so I'm still thinking it over. Has anyone here managed to get a discount?

Dealer says he doesn;t know when the next one will come - he didn;t order mine, it just appeared on his system

He also says one of the Ltd Ed's has already been stolen (somewhere in England, I forget)- as the guy drove it off the forecourt, it was "taken by force" !! :eek:

You can't see from the pic, but my Briskoda sticker is there - on the top right of the rear screen just under the spoiler.

I've only done about 20 miles so far, and not sure how to judge the tyres :confused:

It's already developed an annoying rattle ! :orb_mad:

Given that there are very few of them about, it'll be a bit hard to hide a stolen one - not only that, but each number is registered to each customer.
