The car in Aberdeen dealers is mine! But DVLA are dragging their heels and I wont get it until Tuesday ( local holiday on Monday ). 9 days to do a plate transfer is this some kind of record? will just have to pay her a visit and drool.

yeah that happened to me on the last car seemingly have 14 to do the transfer. They took the 14 days then my dealer had to phone them and ask what was going on. How hard can it be!

I have a Scenic with rear electric windows, PITA with kids in the back ( I know you can switch them off ) much safer if carrying children to just have manual windows. IMHO.

Yes, but you can't switch manual windows off and once the little blighters work out how to use them...

My dealer said that 1000 was the limited number for a first batch. If they sold well, they could make another 1000. My guess is that they are keeping the old production line going just for the VRS, otherwise they will have nothing for this market until 2008. Similarly, VW kept Mk1 Golf cabrios going when the Mk 2 was released.

Pedd,looks like im in the same boat as you.Supposed to pick up mine today however documentation for plate transfer has not been returned so i know have to wait until Wed,im gutted! There is a silver lining though that has managed to pacify me,just spoken with my insurers (frizzell) and my policy will be reduced by 42 pounds as the vRS is that much cheaper than a Mini Cooper,my current vehicle.BTW i did explain the limited edition bit and they said it made no difference so but also:mad:.

Went in and drooled over my new toy today. Looks better in the flesh than the pics I've seen. The interior is something special! My car is in the showroom and according to staff there attracting a lot of attention. Was happy to find it locked so no multitudes climbing in and out. Very pleased with my purchase now come on DVLA put me out of my misery.

Order mine 1st April. It is ready for collection Tuesday 17 April but I won't collect until Saturday 21 April. Number 138 if anybody is interested.

Same here - I was ***promised*** it would be here as of last Friday, but this morning the saleswoman denied all knowledge of making such a promise & told me it would be another 2 weeks!

How hard can it be to deliver some poxy cars to around the country, we have 4 VAG dealers within 30 miles of my hose, u'd think they would share delivery charges wouldnt you.

It is bad considering that our cars are already made and sat in grimsby, they dont even need to be shipped in. I would go and get the bloody thing if i thought it would help but nooooo... cant do that:mad:

If they have the car, then depending on workload all they need do is the PDI and a few other checks. A few days to 1 week I would have thought.

I think I have traced the mystery rattle to the CD changer under the passenger seat - would be interested if anyone else has the same thing

Just been informed from my dealer in Leeds that SUK decided that all the dealers must get two cars one for the showroom and the other for the first customer (I am the second!) before there remaining allocation 12 cars per dealer could be called.

This as now been completed and as from Thursday this week they can call there remaining cars, He is expecting to get delivery early next week with the cars to be ready for the following week.

Hopefully we should all have our cars within the next 2-3 weeks.
