welcome, you will like your new car!:D

I've got my reg sorted, might have the car by the end of the week:thumbup:

Got a call from my dealer (south east) who said he was hoping to have some 'further news' next week (being this coming week), i am still very suprised that none of the dealers know very much about delivery dates etc, surely Skoda UK tell all the dealers the same thing? Maybe not!!

Still, i would imagin we are a couple of weeks away the way things are going and judging by the fact my dealer only said 'he would know more next week' not 'i am having them delivered next week'.

phoned my dealer mid week mine was supposed to be here on the 19th march and he still doesn't know when it will be here i am definatley sick of the wait and the lack of information from my dealer .

I'm being told late April, early May now :(

I'm 4th on the dealer's list.

I think you may have got the wrong end of the stick, none of them were supposed to be anywhere on the 19th - that was the date they were SUPPOSED to be able to order them through the dealers systems, but apparently they still couldn't?

I just dont think the release of the limited edition has been handled very well. Its one big guessing game where nobody knows whats going on,these vehicles have been sat at the docks for weeks so why the delay? and what is really aggravating is the fact that while we wait the bank of Skoda is making a very healthy profit out of our substantial deposits.

Your right in that it's not being handled that well looking as an outsider, but each of these cars has to (by the looks of it) have it's seat's ripped out then sent away for retrimming as by the looks on the pictures they are all coming with standard vRS fabrics so Seat surgeons or whoever SUK's appointed retrimmer is will be working at the speed of 10 tall indians to get them ready.

whoever SUK's appointed retrimmer is will be working at the speed of 10 tall indians to get them ready.

How fast is that then say in comparison to 12 not so tall ones?

Just received a call from Specialist cars in Aberdeen, my car will be ready for collection a week on Friday coming and I am number 1 on the list with 5 others behind me!

Same as most on this thread - I got my order (& deposit) in weeks back. Anyone called around for an insurance quotation, in advance of their new purchase yet?

I'm with Adrian Flux & they rated the new 'Blue Ltd Ed' as a normal VRS.. i.e. no increase in premium over my current '06 Red furby VRS' - result!

They did ponder over the issue for a while though :2002pimp: , I was on hold for a good 5mins on the phone before I was told the good news.. (present car is 11 mths old with 3.5k miles - standard apart from cd changer)

I've tried to get a few advance quotes online - it's a bit hard when you don't know the reg, or it's not on the system yet.

I spoke to the Skoda Insurance people yesterday about the 7 day free stuff you get with the new purchase. The reg isn't linked to the vehicle yet, and the normal vRS was the only thing they had on their system. She asked if it had any extras other than what is specified, I told her it was as specified by the manufacturer - now wondering if my insurance is going to be invalid

More: - have just called them up again, they confirmed that the SE comes under the "normal" vRS cover. :D

This sounds about the right time frame as i was always told mid-end April. I would have thought however that if your dealer knows that then many other dealers should also know this, which would mean that many other people have been contacted and avdised of collection date?

Anyone else been told of a similar date?

I'm with direct line and was told that there was no difference from my black 04 vRS which suprised me.

Why surprised? Surely there should be NO difference. All the Ltd Edtion vRS is, is a specced up standard vRS.

If you went to your insurer and said "I'm buying a vRS Fabia with metallic paint and leather seats (factory options)" would you reasonable expect them to say "that'll be

When i oredered 4 weeks ago my dealer originally quoted the end of March then when i went in to pay my deposit he quoted the end of April, I spoke to him a couple of days ago and they are still saying the end of April but cannot give a date when any car will be delivered to them?

It must be hard for Skoda which send out the leaflets, give you all the info but cannot say exactly when a dealer is expected to take delivery! .

If it is of any use i was told that each dealer are allocated 14 cars but they are not expecting them altogether the first batch will be two each so if you are above that then the end of April might be the end of May.

spoke to my dealer today. my car should be here by the end of next week.

got my number plate today, cant wait.

Spoke to dealer yesterday got my number plate,he put order in on the computer and reckons delivery end of next week,he is calling skoda today to confirm a delivery date, will keep you posted...Had a nightmare trying to get insurance as no one had it on the system gone for Norwich union in the end they classed it as a normal vrs and added on the leather etc, I'm 31 full no claims 3 points sp30,my partner 29 provisional,

my local dealer in swansea has had a fabia vrs ltd ed in today and are hopeing to have mine next week wee hee

 The way the sales of this "Ltd" edition are being handled by SUK is great, it would appear that they are doing you people a favour by allowing you to buy one.

Who do SUK think they are these days, come top in a Poll and suddenly they think they are McLaren or Pagani or similar :D
