How about a 'Dragon' .. anyone ever have one of them??

Yep, had one off them.

Then had a Spectrum +.

All I seem to remember is one of them need a cassette player to load games, but it took about 15 different machines to find one that worked.

I have a box full of amiga floppy disks with games and demos on, just no real amiga. I have got most of them on winuae, but I am sure nothing can beat a real amiga.

While we're on that topic... What the hell happened to Tomorrow's World?

Oh, and excellent clip :)

X-Copy (pro) was my friend :):)

X-Copy Pro used to have a music option didn't it? Or had tetris built in or something. I remember it having something to keep you occupied whilst it copied discs...

Damn you all... as a direct result of this thread I found myself buying an Amiga A1200 at a boot sale on Sunday - For £25 !

Yet to connect it up but it should be good on a 32" TV

Did you get much software with it?

A box full of floppies - but not had a chance to look yet - seems to be a lot of Amiga Format cover discs.

If they arwe anything like my old amiga disks then most wont work. They dont seem to like being unused in lofts etc...

Remind me... do I need on of those additional boxes to connect a 1200 to a TV? I remember I had an additional box of tricks that had to be used to connect the A500 to a TV.

There isnt one with what I bought at the weekend.

The modulator was built in on the 600 and I believe the same applies for the 1200.

That said you are better using the composite video output and connecting that to a scart socket anyway

Wings is awesome if you want a World War I flying game. If you haven't played it you should check it out.

Amiga Power was the best Amiga mag of them all. I still read my old copies sometimes as they're SO funny! Mainly because they were being as random as possible whilst the Amiga was dying and there weren't a lot of games coming out!

Correct

So, phil, does this A1200 have a HDD installed too?

Sadly no HDD :(

That was me.

I'll watch this one , but I suspect it will fetch more than I want to pay
