Not scaremonkering but if you go to the Octavia site' date=' click on exterior then the picture of the wingmirror and go to the last image (image 4?) you get this:-

Signle-touch blinkers The blinkers in the new Octavia now react to a single touch, which considerably increases the safety of driving and operation comfort. Need to show your intention to change lanes instantly, for example when driving on an expressway? No problem, just touch the lever lightly and the blinker of your car blinks three times automatically!

As seen in the Vectra......[/quote']

I know someone who has driven the new Vectra and they think the one touch indicators are the worst things ever invented!

Must admit that I do like the car very much, and the back does look very A4ish.

I was going to say the rear looks like an A4 as well....particularly the lights.....great minds think a like, eh Graeme? ;)

ALos heard the motorig rags give the Vectra indicators bad press. Hopefully the new Octy's will be the same as the A4s which are supposed to be rather good.

They sure do. :P

I do hope the Octy indicators will be better. I'm sure they will. It is a VAG car, not a Vauxhall!! :D

btw Adrian, thats another drink I owe you. The Green filter is great!

Looks like they are on to a winner. Spoke to Mark last night at length & having driven one he didnt seem to be able to say anything bad about it as his post reflects. I just hope if its as good as everybody reckons VW dont push Skoda into raising the price to protect sales of the new Golf which apears to be getting a less than enthusiastic reception.

I will reserve my final judgemant until I actually see one in the flesh but if it apears as a 4x4 Oil burner then I think Skoda have one guaranteed sale in a year or so.

Now do I tune the 4x4 any more or save the money for the new one , still got another Cannonball to do so guess I know the answer to that one.

Anyone want a slightly tweaked 4x4 in about a year ??

I would consider trading in the VRS WRC for top model :cool:

Current Seat Ibiza has these 3 blink indicators.... it is a two stage action

just flick it and 3 blinks later it cancels ..

move it up as normal it clicks into a perm blinking position which you can cancel by returning the indicator stalk back to its centre pos....

thats expensive is it not?

Dunno, that's pretty much L&K spec...wouldn't say it's all that expensive...

Rob.

Price shown is for one with all the options....without options that's

No, there's no 1.6 Elegance - think a 1.6 Ambiente off the top of my head is about

Agree that the new one in general should be more expensive so i reckon, without the options, it bang on the money.

oops sorry never saw the spec, how much more is that than the present car

Dunno, it's hard to gauge without knowing which trim level to compare it with! I expect the new 1.6 will be more in line with the current Elegance trim (alloy wheels, etc.), so there's not really anything to compare it with.

Nice rear. Am actualy quite turning to the looks of it as well.

Wonder if they've fixed the "boot watering" problem?

I think it looks top banana. Especially the studio shots with the larger wheels. Very nice.

if they do a decent RS in say about 18 months, then that fits in nicely with me changing my car. looks lovely, can't wait to see one on the road.

would definitely consider the diesel if it comes as rumoured with a 180bhp engine.

I'll take a 4x4 RS please, with lots of optional goodies, in about 14 months - I'd better start begging for a promotion :D

There you can see more prices of the standard and extra fitting of the new Octavia.
