AmD rolling road day

Featured Replies

As I'm a stoodent' date=' early starts are unheard of.

What time are you running til?

I'll still be there, but not at 9! ;)

Oh and do I have to raise my car to get it on the rollers or do you reckon it'll be OK?[/quote']

You're not alone ;)

I'm aiming for a time between 11 and 12 or so...

Sorry guys I am having to duck out of this as well and I was really looking forward to this but I have a few things to prepare before monday which I can't put off :( anyway have a gooden' and I wanna see some good bhp/torque figures in eveyones avatar.

Ivan

Time to buck the trend ;)

Yes, i pulled out, but a rather fortuitous change of circumstances means i'm coming (if i drag myself out of bed early enough)

Will be happy to fill any gaps should it be needed

Otherwise i'll just have a natter & a look around...and take pics :)

Trust you all have a good day, had to duck spectating due to Dad having an op today following an accident last week & I need to be around. Interested to see how standard Des's car is !!!!

Well looks like I'm one of the first back!

Got 172.0 BHP and 295.6 lb/ft, which was a bit lower than I was expecting but not too bad overall. It's up on BHP and down on torque compared to my last run at Stealth.

Thanks to everyone, especially devonutopia for the cash, rooboy for the laughs and for the use of VAG-COM, and Ross and all the guys at AmD for looking after us with good burgers and cold cans of Coke! :D

Top notch hospitality indeed - and lovely weather to boot. I can feel my brunter's tan returning... :D

Now to try and recover from getting up at 6am on a saturday... ZZZzzz!

Glad to put some more names to faces.. wish id brought my car to run now!!!!

Big thanks to Ross and the AmD team for hosting a eventful and interesting day, and my concience for making me keep my wallet jammed in my pocket... those grooved disks and Ross's LCR alloys were very very tempting

and thanks to ColinD for providing transport to and from the event:D

Those alloys were *so* tempting! Fortunately I saw sense and didn't even look at them too closely.... :)

Colin's erm, "install" was pretty interesting too. Will be better once the wires are hidden away!

Yeah. impressive install. see visions of fast n furious. with touchscreen boost ajustment and a launch control button :P

Ross,

We really must thank you... so......

Thankyou

Pete

... When the screen hasn't auto-dimmed, or windows gives a blue screen of death ;)

But yes, very impressive - all that's needed now is the satnav... (or was that hiding away somewhere?)

Had a great time guys. Good to put some faces to some names. Got my first proper mod (DV) and will deffo be back for the exhaust so cheers to Ross for that!

Oh and thanks to Q for stickering me up (I'll send you a PM for payment dude)

Hopefully see you guys at Trax if not before!

Si

P.P.S Any pics would be nice as I left the camera in the car all day as I seemed to be quite busy :)

Ross,

None of us could work out WTF ? either ??????????????????? what were you doing all day ?

Has Dave arrived back yet? ;)

Someone didnt plug my car back together after they finished with it on the dyno - so it went into limp mode with no boost  Hmmm I wander if that explains the suspect figures...

Luckily - being an expert mechanic i found out that the thingy pipe where you connect the boost gauge wotsis was unplugged. Plugged it back in and away we went!

Good day + nice to see everyone. Great burgers + even nicer chickeny nibbly things. Thanks guys
