Feel free Sock it to me the truth

Featured Replies

OK guys give it to me,

I am ancient 60 but 25 in my head

I bought my first Furby 1.9TDI it was sturdy, RED(but could have been Tangerine for all I cared), reliable, excellent insurance, cheap to run, and IMHO a good car

I then fancied a new Furby well I wanted another 1.9TDI but the VRS was available so I bought it,

I am very happy with it, I find it excellent, and off course lots more power than my Ford 100e ever had

Now to me an old fart, so long as it goes, is paid for and is economical I am happy so just what is wrong with buying a "YELLOW" car???

What car/Auto Express

"Appearance:

Looks stylish and a little understated (a good thing); unless your vRS is yellow..."

Does this mean

A. It is a girlies car?

B. A boy racers car?

C. A true t*4t?

D. A big mistake?

Should I be embarassed, pleased , worried ? or DGAF!

At the moment I am of the DGAF mode though I am obviosly seeking answers

Give me the truth now, Don't hold back

Regards Jimbo aka National

Just enjoy it for what it is :)

Nowt wrong with yellow ones... I prefer the sprint yellow to the lemon though.

Just enjoy it for what it is :)

My thoughts exactly.

It is what you want it to be.

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder (Or beer holder if your drinking Stella ;) )

You obviously liked it enough to buy it.

Got a fair bit of stick from mates and work colleagues in the past as both my previous cars were bright yellow. My excuse was:

a) Never lose it in a car park

B) No one can say in an accident I didn't see it coming

I suppose it can be perceived as a "bonkers" colour to have, bit like the ASBO Orange provided by Ford for the Focus ST :D

I would have bought a yellow one if:

- there had been one available

- the wife had let me !!

Apparently 'safest' car at night for visibilty

S*d everyone else - do you enjoy driving it ?

Does it make you feel good ?

If so, everything else is irrelevant.

Oh, and Grow Up :P (from a 55yr old vRS owner  )

The yellow VRS is immense

As long as you like it that is all that matters, remember and wear your  when the sun is out though.

Nothing wrong with yellow.

If you like it, go for it.

Just one point though:

IMO it wont be worth as much when you want to sell it as there is not as much demand for yellow ones

Yellow is a bit bright and "in-your-face", and therefore perfect if you don't care about making a statement.

Enjoy it - and if anyone shows any negativity towards it - it's just that they're subconsciously jealous and are probably old before their time. I'd guess that probably they worry that along with the flash car, you'll get a flash younger woman!!

Quite the opposite - I respect that you chose well and seem happy with it.

Anyone gives you a hard time and we'll send the Briskoda "attitude adjustment squad" down to have a word with them...

Cheers

Bas

I don't mind the yellow vRS. I like the "never loose it in a car park" excuse :D

When I was chosing a colour for my vRS I decided:

Black was for people with no imagination

Silver was for people who wanted to hide

Red was too aggressive

Yellow was cheeky

And I still don't regret getting a yellow one.

yellow is cool i would have had one but wife wouldnt let me

apparently no-one steals yellow cars either ;)

It's your money and your decision, nought to do with anyone else.

From someone who obviously lacks imagination and owns a black one

The diesel banana is the way forward. :)

Nothing wrong with yellow must admit was a bit shocked when i first saw one tho but quite common now. My colour.........burnt orange...........love it

I actually like the yellow ones, especially when they have anthracire/black wheels they look awesome.

But I wouldn't have one as I think they stand out a bit too much and would probably get pulled every time I went out.....settled on silver in the end for a bit of stealth.

Swap you for my silver one, seeing as you got to the yellow one before me...:thumbup:

I assume you mean pulled by the Police? Why? Do they have some vendetta against yellow cars in Burton?!!!;)

good choice,

yellow was obvious choice for me, love it, do I care what others say?

what other people think about me is none of my business, full stop :D

If I'd have bought new it may have been yellow, to match our yellow Lupo. Nothing wrong with it.

My Furbie was Yellow, My kitchen is Yellow, Yellow is my favorite colour, every thing should be yellow, cars, food, people, houses, trees, Green houses should also by yellow...:D ... I like YELLOW

DGAF!!!!!

yellow is awesome. RARR!!

love it, drive it, tell people you don't care you bought it for you and not them :D
