Just a thought, but Tesco's at Abingdon, just a bit further up the A34 has a huge car park, resturant/cafe, open 24 hours and much cheaper than Chieveley and is about 30 seconds off th A34 too ;)

But Tesco is not open at 7am on a sunday morning (it's only 24hrs between monday 8am- saturday 11pm) and Chievely is not exactly hard to find either, and still has a car park big enough for 10 people to meet up in.

Think Chievely will be be best, bit further afield but it is open. Think that's the killer argument there, as Tescos will definitely be shut :(

where are the guys coming from the north meeting? Don't know wether to bring my new toy yet, see you all there:D

I'm coming from South Leicestershire. :) Will be nipping down to Northampton, bypassing it, then cutting down the A43 to Silverstone. There is potential to meet at Towcester just before Silverstone, but really we'll all meet in there so as long as you get there early, everything should be fine.

how early is early jase?

I'm going to be there for 7.30. :)

That reminds me, what time is the track session on at?

What time are people aiming for chievely ?

Sorry - I should have mentioned the track session. They're all on at 11.40am, with the briefing session at 10.40am. I put a note on the form asking for a time close to midday, so it will a) be bone dry if a dewey start to the morning, and B) if anyone is late / gets stuck - there will be adequate time. :)

That's a much better time than last year Jason.

I'm going to be there for 7.30. :)

Can't see me getting there any earlier than 8 o'clock, think my wife and baby are coming, and it's a 2 hour drive for me.

8 "should" be OK, but expect to be queuing on the A43 by then as joe public is allowed in from 9, so really it's best for everyone on the stand to be in advance of this time. :)

I'll try and reduce the 2 hours travelling time a bit ;)

PLEASE NOTE, that there is no extra stand tickets available - I've confirmed this with the organiser, so even paying full price admission means you won't get on the brisky stand. :)

I'll be bringing a bbq with me and might well purchase some bits and pieces, so we should have a source of food :)

Are the people coming up from down south still planning to meet up somewhere on the way up?

I'll be aiming to get there about then too Jas. We'll have a lot of soot to clean off the cars before everyone arrives and some fettling to do with a bonnet lifter kit!

Doesn't look like my polo skirts will be on in time at this rate though

Some of us might have soot to clean off. :P My a55 will be clean as my soot is propelled out of the vortex my car produces. :D:rofl:

If you try and get there for 9, you'll be queuing on the A43 for at least an hour or more. :P

It is much better to get in early, relax, clean your car, and then wait for Joe Public to arrive. :)
