Fabia vRs strategic decision by Volkswagen Group

Featured Replies

who says they will be left behind ? who says they need a thrashy wee monster to keep pace with the Clio/Corsa/Fiesta ?

What about people who want a fun, "warm" hatch, instead of a pocket rocket?

Then buy a Sport model.

Skoda should let Brisky design the next vRS, I'm sure we could have a good car at the end and probably not a balls up that they will make.

I'm up for that! Not sure we could keep it all within a reasonable budget though.

I'm sharpening up my crayons as I speak.........

Had ideas in my heads since first seeing the Sport myself - Eibachs, Remap and ARBS were all on the list ;)

A lot of potential... wonder what the new common rail engine will be like when they start rolling it out... as in terms of tunability?

Good news for all you Derv. vRS fans! With VW showing off the Mk6 Golf Bluemotion{@Paris in Oct.}running the long anticipated 1.6CR-TDI. In this version it has the same power output as the ancient 1.9PD-TDI 105hp currently available. Seems to be the same 250nm/184lb-ft of torque as well, So seems real promising!!! Wonder if when turned up to say 135hp if the g/co2 might stay under 119 as this new prototype will produce only 99g/co2!

won't happen, the vRS isn't anything special in reality so will never appreciate sadly.

the new mini sold for more than retail when they first came out as they were very very fashionable but as soon as production increased and there more available that stopped.

very very few cars go up in value, the fabia vRS will never be one of them.

Using the second hand value generated by the What Car valuations website my VRS has retained 48% of its original value - which is not bad at all. The only other car of mine to ever beat that was a Discovery, several years ago.

In What Diesel? the marketing manager for the Skoda Superb says the Fabia vRS will not be coming out until 2010 and then probably as petrol only...

2009 Fabia VRS 1.4TSI.

Edit. Thats my thoughts..

At the end of the day it was nearly four years before the mk1 Vrs came out, i wouldn't sit and wait.

fabia 2 with 1.8tfsi 160bhp. and dsg 7 speed. and something loocking like s2000 car. but maybe not that extreme.
