Why does it look like a Kia?

Damn that things ugly!!!!

Looks like a Mazda to me ;)

Suspect it's a case of NCAP and moving towards competing in the fleet market where blending in is a good thing.

Chris

From the B pillar back it could be a 1 series

The Imprezas have never been pretty cars, but at least the previous lot had a certain presence. The new one just looks like a 5-year-old drew it.

I think it looks like a Rover 25/ zt? thingy.

As said more to do with fleet sales than anything else.

Although Tiffany did say on Fifth Gear, that another Impreza is due next year.

Could be a Saab?

Quite like it actually :o, wonder if they will do that derv boxer engine?

They're aiming to get the diesel engine (developed with Toyota?) in the Legacy range next year so I expect it won't be far off in the Impreza. According to the reports, Subaru are aiming to increase their sales by 60% and offering themselves as a credible alternative to the current fleet favourites. I'm not convinced they'll pull it off unless they ditch their trademark awd as they'll need to be selling cars based on CO2, mpg and cost of ownership. Good luck to them though :D

I posted about the new Impreza a few weeks ago.... still like the look of it :o

Tiff drove it on Fifth gear last night, he had the 2.0 version and from what I can gather, he was not impressed one bit and prefers the looks of the previous one, and the handling of the previous one.

No. It's definately an Impreza.

Oh dear............

At first glance I thought it was a sooped up Proton!!!!!

It reminds me of a 5 door Chevrolet Lacetti.

Nice view though, looks like rain over that lake.

As long as they make an STi etc that drives like a Bat out of Hell, I reckon everyone will forgive it its’ looks. I know I would.

Funnily enough, the STi is the only one of the range that looks "Impreza". Early reports suggest it's the best yet to drive but we'll have to see what arrives in the UK

Chris

all imprezas are ugly, they were built for one thing, and god are they good at it:thumbup:

As a former Scooby owner, I'll reserve judgement until I've driven it back-to-back against an Evo X. If it drives how I expect it to then I'll be hanging on for a JDM 2 litre lightweight special edition in the near future. I don't care what it looks like, if they've taken the driving dynamics to another level then the grin will be there, and once in the drivers seat you can't see it anyway. They've never been lookers and I've always hated the gold wheel and pink decal thing, so any move to grow out of that scene is welcome. The rear lights will have to go though !
