All being well I'll be doing the Bluetooth mod myself soon.

Just trying to organise the parts.

Andrey has kept me updated with his progress over the last few weeks and he seems to have got everything working nicely.

If you are thinking of the MF Wheel there is a possible issue with the Steering Controller - Andrey and I are looking into it but ultimately I think you'd need to add it to your list of parts to buy if you don't have the correct one.

I take it that the Bluetooth Kit can be used without a MF steering wheel then?.

Yes, you operate it via the MF stalk (Righthand one)

I think me and Stu will write an article for his web-site with step-by-step installation instruction and a lot of pics

Shortly:

for bluetooth you will need:

-module

-antenna

-microphone

-holder and cover of a module

-cable

-coding via VAG COM

Connection is easy - just plug green socket to head unit, connect power and CANBUS behind head unit.

Problem is that this device dont have a full support of all phones. Full support mean export of phone book to the car

If you are interesting in a full set of parts for bluetooth installation, you can ask your dealer (we can give you all parts number) or PM me and I will tell you something :) (it is not cheap in any case unfortunally)

for mfs you will need:

- MFS

- new airbag (in case you now have three spoken wheel)

- new wiring loop for airbag (if you will use your old airbag)

- in most cases new steering column module. Now I try to modify my module - if it will not work, will by a new.

- coding via VAG COM

Sorry for my english :(

Like the Bluetooth feature but hate the steering wheel, does'nt look special enough for a vRS and needs to be 3 spoke.

The one way for 3-spoke-steering fans is to use Golf GTi steering wheel. It is full compatible, if red illumination on buttons and VW-logo on airbag not a big troubles. :)

For me 4-spoke steering, but original is better

Looking very good TallioN (just scares me when I see a car in "parts" - even if it is just minor surgery!)

Do we know uk part costs?

Indeed - I'd certainly like an idea of the cost of the parts, or alternatively, a total VRStu price for the parts, fitting, and recoding of VAGCOM... ;)

I assume all parts are available in the UK, if only from a VW dealer...

Given the housing for the main Handsfree Module fits under the passenger seat, I assume at least one of the part numbers needs to change for a RHD car...

I would also be interested to know the part numbers for adding the cradle as well, with prices, to see if that makes sense - I know on some VW cars with the Handsfree, the only additional component required was the Bluetooth aerial module to fit to this main unit under the seat - so I wonder if the opposite is also true - ie with this lot, an extra cable, the cradle mount, the phone cradle, and new dash parts, it's possible to have somewhere to charge the phone too... (for the very very small selection of supported phones)
