Virtual Pedal Retrofit
you've already read all the threads about the right way to trigger it? (not waving foot left to right, but kick forward and back?

For cars with LED+ Ambient lighting - foorwell lighting that matches the colour of the coloured led strip
Ordered these replacement foorwell lights that change colour automatically to match the colour of the ambient lighting, for those who have it (I think it's also called led+ on the options catalogue) https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKFd2eX Seller tells me that you can either buy the plug and play simulator, or you can code the lights to work without it, the simulator just means no coding. I haven't figured out the coding, or if it's even truly required, but I have vcds if needed. See the reviews for pics of it done on a Superb by someone in Israel

Virtual Pedal Retrofit
I'll document my progress here as I go along, retrofitting virtual pedal, which I sometimes see referred to as "easy open" to a 2017 Right hand drive notchback (sedan) Superb. The car already has KESSY, which I understand to be a prerequisite. Ordered from aliexpress here. Kit showed up today, it even included a roll of TESA harness tape. Things I don't know yet: A) Where exactly my KESSY module is and how best to route the cables to it. B ) What 2x pins on the KESSY module I connect the yellow/black and red/green 2 cables to.

Steering wheel swap
2: nope, same airbag if you buy the correct wheel. 3. nope, the wiring between wheel airbag and clockspring is fine , again if you buy the correct wheel 4. yes, 5q0953569b for cars up to 22 Apr 2019 ("a" version is not heated, "b" version has the heating connector) 5. there are a LOT of part numbers for the climatronic control panel, but so far I can't find any that are specific to the heated wheel. Will update when I'm certain

Paddle wheel retrofit to L&K
You are correct, I just swapped mine for a heated version, airbag was same, however the new wheel has an extra wire for heating, and the 'clock spring' black round plastic bit on the hub that houses the connector for the airbag doesn't cater for it. Let me dive into etka 8.3 and find out what the correct part is, and then I guess I also have to figure out what retrofit wiring I need to run from the hub to (the aircon panel?)

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Yep 3V0419091AF, there are a few extra letters at the end which I think designate the stitching colour, in my case BGW (silver?) Ebay, I paid EUR100 (£84), and there's not a scratch on it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-SKODA-FABIA-3-Octavia-Suberb-3-Leather-Steering-Wheel-MFA-White-Seam-/233919048246?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286 The craziest part is that there was some courier mixup whereby the courier said it had been delivered.. In Germany (?!) a week ago, and since I'm in the UK I got worried and raised it with the seller. Seller refunded me, and then it showed up today! So at this point I got it free. I will do the right thing though and contact them. I had forgotten how much a decent wheel changes the driving experience, years ago swapped my mk4 golf wheel for an R32 one, and I remember thinking it was the best mod I ever did, and I'm getting that same feeling with this. However I was sure I read somewhere that if you had heated front seats, the wiring for heating to the wheel was already in place, but on mine the wire for that isn't visible at the hub. Maybe it's hiding behind this circular round plastic spinnything on the hub that contains the airbag connector in the pic below. See also pic of back of wheel where you can see the heated wire connector poking through. I reckon there's an alternate version of black round spinnything that contains heated connector also. More research needed there to get the heat working on it. I wonder if it's not related to heated windscreen as opposed to heated seats (I don't have the heated windscreen)

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Didnt come with airbag. As long as you get your part numbers right, airbag is a straight swap

What have you done to your Superb III today?
So I'm planning a virtual cockpit retrofit and wanted to start gathering parts. I read that to do it right, you should have a view button on the steering wheel. But why pay £70+ for buttons and faff around switching them when you can find a flat bottom sportline wheel with the heated option and view button (retails at £600) for £80 on ebay...

TV Tuner in Superb Mk3 Retrofit?
Formatted for ease of reading. These aerial amplifiers will work, I just need to be sure of a) which of the 3x sockets (2 green , 1 brown) on the back of the tv tuner are meant for AM, FM, and TV? Secondly, we need to have a parts grid based on the PR codes for these parts for the superb like the one I've made below for Audi to understand the exact part numbers, what they do, for what regions, and the differences between them. Q7/Q8/Bentayga 4M0 035 225 AM/FM. Digital Radio Reception. Regions: ECE, ROW, NAR, Mexico, China, Korea, Taiwan 4M0 035 225 A FM. Digital Radio Reception. Regions: ECE, ROW, NAR, Mexico, China, Korea, Taiwan 4M0 035 225 B AM/FM. Digital Radio Reception. Regions: Japan 4M0 035 225 C FM. Digital Radio Reception. Regions: Japan 4M0 035 225 D TV. TV reception. Regions: Korea 4M0 035 225 D TV - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception. Regions: ROW 4M0 035 225 E AM/FM/TV - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception Regions: Japan 4M0 035 225 F FM/TV - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception. Regions: Japan 4M0 035 225 G TV - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception. Regions: Japan 4M0 035 225 H AM/FM/TV. Regions: ECE, ROW, NAR, Mexico, China, Taiwan - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception 4M0 035 225 J FM/TV. Regions: ECE, ROW, NAR, Mexico, China, Taiwan - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception 4M0 035 225 K TV. Regions: ECE, ROW, NAR, Mexico, China, Taiwan - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception Superb: 3v5035577 AM/FM. Digital Radio Reception. Regions? 3v3035577A FM 3v5035577B AM/FM/TV - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception. Regions? 3v5035577C TV - TV reception. Regions? 3v5035577D TV - TV reception, TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception. Regions? 3V5035577E TV - TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception. Regions? 3V5035577F Digital radio reception 3v5035577G TV Reception, WIthout TV reception/digital radio reception I don't understand how pr codes QV0 Without TV reception/digital radio reception and QV1 TV reception can be both applied on the same part, unless in this case the QV0 is to clarify that it doesn't cover DAB 3v5035577D seems to be the skoda equivalent of audi 4M0 035 225 K , so based on the russian experience, I'm going to go with "D" in socket "1" of the tv tuner. Socket 2 would then likewise need a 3v5035577B, socket 3, dunno...

TV Tuner in Superb Mk3 Retrofit?
My skoda parts guy doesn't know a lot about it, but he told me he doesn't have version b on his system, but c says TV, and versions d and g say "FFB", and when he researched FFB, it means force feedback. I'm trying to understand do you need 1xc, 1xd and 1xg? Or 3x version d would work? Portuguese guy on the MIB2 telegram group sent me the diagram below, although it's based on the audi part numbers 4m0035225k, 4m0035225H, 4m0035225J, it looks like you need 3x different ones So far I have bought 3v5 035 577 c and 4m0035225k. I don't think it matters so much if the parts are audi or vw or skoda, more important to understand the letters at the end for each. I'm starting to research and understand better This list of parts for q7/bentayga tells more detail about regions etc https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/en-gb/part-finder/bentley/bentayga/oe/338/2091/36813?h=278016 And I'm trying to understand the options codes, i discovered this is what they mean ER1RCORegional code " ECE " for radioER2RCORegional code " ROW " for radioER3RCORegional code " NAR " for radioER4RCORegional codeER5RCORegional code " Japan " for radioER6RCORegional code " China " for radioER7RCORegional code " Korea " for radioER8RCORegional code " Taiwan " for radioER9RCORegional code " Rest of Asia " for radio ER1 RCOER1RCORegional code " ECE " for radioER2RCORegional code " ROW " for radioER3RCORegional code " NAR " for radioER4RCORegional codeER5RCORegional code " Japan " for radioER6RCORegional code " China " for radioER7RCORegional code " Korea " for radioER8RCORegional code " Taiwan " for radioER9RCORegional code " Rest of Asia " for radio Regional code " ECE " for radio ER2 RCO Regional code " ROW " for radio ER3 RCO Regional code " NAR " for radio ER4 RCO Regional code ER5 RCO Regional code " Japan " for radio ER6 RCO Regional code " China " for radio ER7 RCO Regional code " Korea " for radio ER8 RCO Regional code " Taiwan " for radio ER9 RCO Regional code " QU0 TVE SAT radio reception QU1 TVE TV reception analog/digital and digital radio reception QU2 TVE TV reception QU3 TVE TV reception (China) QU4 TVE Satellite radio reception NAR integrated in device QU5 TVE T - DMB Tuner (South Korea) QU6 TVE Digital radio reception and TV reception QU7 TVE Digital TV reception QU8 TVE Satellite radio reception USA QV0 TVE W/o TV reception/digital radio reception QV1 TVE TV reception QV2 TVE TV reception for Japa n QV3 TVE Digital radio reception QV4 TVE Satellite radio reception USA QV5 TVE TV reception and digital radio reception QV6 TVE Preparation for digital radio reception QV7 TVE TV reception and preparation for digitalradio reception QV8 TVE Satellite radio reception NAR QV9 TVE TV reception analog and digital reception

Anyone know location of the Online Connectivity Unit? 5NA 035 284 B
In the golf mk7 and arteon it's under the scuttle panel, so that'd be my bet.

Tail light LED's dead 2016.
When you switched places with the outer cluster, what happened with the inner clusters? You said the right inner leds were also gone - did the inner cluster problem change sides when you changed the outer clusters around?

Superb III design flaws
It's about UX research and best practices combined with tightly integrated customer feedback loop. Looks like this was sub-par on mib3. The bright side is that less physical buttons and more virtual buttons means that there's more scope for these things to be addressed as software updates..

the audi Q7 has a cd changer connected to an MIB2 by MOST, I wonder if it could be connected to the skoda MIB2 and coded in..
-
Tail light LED's dead 2016.
Connectors definitely the same, and I just checked the pinouts to see if the wiring positions are the same, and they are except on the inner clusters there's no wire for fog light on one side, so for your purposes all the same
-
Two techy type questions......
If you're talking about the legality of me helping him get his media on something usb-based, my presumption is that he already owns this media on CD, in which case he's legally entitled to have a backup copy of it. Keeping the cd copy as "backup" and the USB for daily use isn't a stretch of legal interpretation of "backup" there.

Tail light LED's dead 2016.
The fact both your right inner and right outer cluster have both gone suggests it's not likely the light units.. Its a black and red wire for the tail lights on the right side of the vehicle for right hand drive 2016 notchbacks. If it were me, I'd be pulling the trim and following that wire back for damage. The smart approach would be to bell test the wire from each end first.

Just a current fad, something future generations will look back on and laugh at, yet the young uns will give a great speech about UX etc etc..
