  1. Is that a 2-zone driver's side Octy mirror or a flat passenger side glass?
  2. Does your mate know what he's letting himself in for? A "local garage" quote is 4 to 5 hours work for an Octy with fully hydraulic PAS, when using a hoist.
  3. The rotary headlight switch by your right knee is not, and never has been, the dip switch.
  4. It's the dip switch on the steering column; it burns the dip beam contacts out.
  5. We normally use a photo-hosting account, and link them to the posting here.
  6. Check the brake lights all work. If not, change the pedal switch for a new genuine part.
  7. Just how near the Bass Rock are you operating this vehicle?
  8. It may be possible. That said, I've also been in a crash where the airbag operated, and would be more interested in knowing that the airbag will operate correctly when and if, and only when and if, required than in saving part of the price of the airbag controller.
  9. @fabia_simon - As @nta16 implies, a fault code that says, for example, "RHF wheel sensor fault" does not mean "buy a new front wheel sensor" but "check the wiring and the rotor for breaks and/or muck or damage before spending out on a new genuine sensor".
  10. Top o' th' mornin' t' you. Also. that's a nice moody night time car shot.
  11. Years, as long as you don't drive the car. Weeks or maybe months if you do.
  12. You might also try citroenet for C1 diagnostics. Be prepared for them to have a similarly low opinion of generic scanners to what we do.
  13. This thread is worthless without pictures!!
  14. At a guess, based on VAG cars, either a duff battery or a weak charge. Deep load test for the battery, should be free conditional that the place that does the test gets to supply a new battery if needed. If they're present on the C1, check the alternator control wires are connected, particularly if the battery light does not illuminate on initial switch on.
  15. Well the car is probably still worth ~£3_000 so yes.
  16. This means "spend 7 Euro on an hour downloading useful manuals from Erwin".
  17. Well, the 5 minutes is way excessive, but the first thing I thought of was dead glowplugs.
  18. Yell.com for mobile auto aircon. Estimate of GB£100, while you wait, at a location that suits you. See how that compares with the Main Stealer!
  19. Maybe someone will know if you actually print the reader type and the fault code.
  20. There's your answer them; some <censored> designer has put a a door handle between the mirror and the rear axle line.
  21. Once was true, but is now an urban leg end due to a change in the law.
  22. Which part of "average greed scamera" is confusing you? I really hope it's not the "average", (actually mean) which is taken by reading the time (in decimal hours) when you pass the exit camera, subtracting the time when you pass the entry camera, and dividing by the distance between the 2, to give your mean speed between them.
  23. I think this means that some 'sole has lost the plips (both of them). Is there a dark coloured dome about an inch deep and the same diameter near the rear view mirror, interior light and map lights?
  24. Maybe. What size front brakes does your's have?
