Try another battery. Even though you've changed it, it might be faulty.

Engine oil
I knew a guy who had an OHC Mk3 Cortina, and he filled the sump with something called Genklene, which is a solvent for cleaning parts. He started the engine and it made a horrible noise and buggered the camshaft. Daft bugger

Loose gear stick after something snapped
That doesn't look like part of the shifter mechanism to me. Where does it fit exactly?

Skoda Fabia dash cluster
Be aware that the cluster contains the immobiliser and you can't just swap in a used cluster without having it coded to the car.

Bought a 2004 MK1 with no service book, need advice.
You need to remove the drums to inspect the brake shoes, cylinders & drum friction surfaces. The rust on the drums is normal, you could clean them up a bit with a wire brush.

Those front discs are well past their best. Can't see anything with the drum brakes as the drums are still on.

Yeah, that rust on the wishbones is entirely normal. Most cars look like that underneath unless they are pretty new. As for the drop links - it's often difficult to feel any wear in them on the car. Best just renew them as they are a common failure and cause of knocks.

My MK2 Fiesta didn't have one from the factory and it was like a wet sponge round corners

I can strongly recommend Meyle HD drop links. They are even better than the factory ones. Part number: Meyle 1160600000/HD

Glove box: took it off now can't get it back on. :)
No, it just has screws. If the screws won't bite it's possible that one or two of the speed nuts has fallen off. Starting at 6:20.....

Might be an idea to check/change the cabin filter too.
