  1. Same here. Looked great at first but soon faded.
  2. A G-clamp works well on front caliper pistons. You can't 'rewind' front caliper pistons as there's nothing to 'wind'.
  3. You don't need the thermo controlled flap at all. I took mine out altogether. Now it just takes in cool air from the front of the car as I blocked up the hot air hole to stop the engine taking in warm air from the engine bay. If your mate has a cone filter his engine will be taking in the warm air from the engine bay, which I guess doesn't matter a great deal but I don't think it's ideal.
  4. You and your posh autoreverse cassette malarkey. Only the latest tech for you
  5. Could be, mate
  6. I used to take them for anxiety.
  7. It sucks heat off the exhaust and into the intake. There is a wax capsule thermostatic controlled flap inside the plastic air ducting that decides how much hot air to take off the exhaust according to ambient temperature. Took my hose off, it's never made the remotest difference even in bitterly cold weather. I also removed the control flap and blocked the hole so it can only take in cool air from the front of the car.
  8. Sorry you're having to give up the mechanic thing mate. I can imagine how you feel about it but obviously health comes first and all that. Good to hear you're doing well otherwise
  9. Thanks. Not cheap but at least it's solved the problem 👍
  10. Nice one. How much was the hose assembly out of interest?
  11. Cavity wax is only any good if the metal is already sound before it is applied. If the metal is ruting from the inside-out it's a complete waste of time putting wax over the rust.
  12. That's just you when you're doing 120 mph in your 1.2
  13. And 'rot' means 'red' in German.
  14. Seen better cars in the scrap yard.
  15. Ah, cheers 👍
  16. I have the £10 one and can edit. Not sure about the £6 one. Nah, the mods won't bother us for this. And no worries 👍

  18. superfluous post
  19. I'm not 100% sure about the Freedom thing though. Do you have the 3 dots showing at the top right of your posts? If you do that's what you click to edit.
  20. I think you have to be a 'Freedom' member and then you can edit your own posts. It costs a small amount per year.
  21. Have you checked the plastic servo pipe for cracks?
