  1. Great 👍
  2. It's in the cluster. A replacement would need coding or the car won't start.
  3. Yeah those green ones are correct.
  4. Not sure if you've already done this but worn drop links are notorious for clunks.
  5. When you say the spark plug tips had sheared off do you mean the electrodes?
  6. Did Zee manage to get the battery on and give it a little drive?
  7. Ah, not too bad then
  8. Damn How much did it cost to get the code?
  9. ^ I had a 1979 105S exactly like that only mine was beige in colour. Like this....
  10. I've had quite a few Estelles including a 130 LSE and a Rapid 136. Those cars had a certain charm. Good honest motoring
  11. ^ That's a good view of the little fan that's on the back of the A/C controls. I knew there was one but never actually seen one.....
  12. I'd do yours in tartan fabric
  13. Headliner looks great, Stewart 👍 Did you use spray glue on it?
  14. Aww, you're bound to get off-days. Keep ya chin up No probs at all
  15. How you doing mate? I managed to get a few friends to donate
  16. My 1.4 mpi does about 3,200 rpm at 70 mph and is surprisingly quiet at that speed. You can barely hear the engine, the rest is road noise. I guess with yours being a 3 pot that it's inherently a bit noisier. The Estelle 105S I used to have would deafen you at that speed (when it was able to get there)
  17. The little catch on the plug has to be pulled downwards. And as sepulchrave says, you have to try and push the whole plug upwards at the same time to release pressure on the catch, then the plug should be able to be pulled down and off. I used a nail to pull the catch down but have also managed to do it with my fingers a few times..
  18. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10x-VW-Bonnet-Insulation-Plastic-Clips-Retainer-Clips-for-Hood-Sound-Deadener/391115545831?hash=item5b104d9ce7:g:CRIAAOSwv0tVLlJI
  19. A few useful part numbers... Orange bonnet stay clip for use with acoustic bonnet pad 6Y0823397209 Acoustic pad retaining clips (18 needed) 1H5863849A01C Acoustic pad 6Y0863831D
  20. I fitted the under-bonnet sound deadening pad from a vRS. Makes a suprising difference. The orange plastic clip that holds the bonnet stay is different for the models with the pad and has to be changed. As DieselMonte says, the vast majority of other noise comes from the back. I sound insulated under my back seat, the boot floor and inside the hollow rear quarters. Made a big difference to road noise.
  21. If you get a whole new regulator panel you need to swap your door speaker to it. The rivets for the speaker are part number N90765701. 4.8x15mm. However, I used short nuts and bolts on mine instead of the rivets. You will need a riveter capable of taking those sizes as small standard pop rivet guns are no use.
  22. Part number N91078801 6.4X10.0mm.
  23. You need to get onto JML with that idea. I can just see it now ''Introducing the new JML Wayfinder, works without that bothersome electricity!''
  24. 2008 would be a MK2? https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/113-skoda-fabia-mk-ii/
