  1. It's actually 25 amp, Pete.
  2. Curiosity got the better of me and I pulled blade fuse 7 in the engine bay as well and took the car for a drive. Still the same three lights after clearing the codes but the red brake one now just stays on instead of flashing. Speedo still works normally.
  3. Bleeps on starting the engine, flashing brake warning light, steady MIL & yellow ABS light.
  4. Thanks, Pete. I have the 40A strip fuse removed and fuse 25 in the cabin (5A). If I don't take the cabin one out the ABS still malfunctions but with those two out it kills it and it just drives like a car with no ABS. I wonder what would happen with that 30A one removed. I won't bother tampering to find out, though
  5. Actually I might be wrong there. It looks like the gearbox sensor only does the odometer. Strange then, that I currently have the main fuse out of my ABS (because I haven't been arsed to fix a dodgy wheel sensor) and the speedo still works.
  6. Mine has ABS but the speedo signal still comes from a sensor on the gearbox. VAG like to confuse people.
  7. If it's any help, the part number for the fuel flap plastic button is 6Y1 827 645
  8. Did you decide you didn't like the standard Skoda stereo you bought, Ryan?
  9. My fuel door just opens by pulling it and the cap is lockable using the ignition key. I have central locking but there is only open and close buttons on the keys, no boot button.
  10. Mine has the boot release but not the fuel cap release
  11. How you doing mate?
  12. Mine is exactly the same and I've seen other Mk1s like that.
  13. ^ It looks proud of its new headlamps 😛
  14. Sounds like a duff battery? Does the battery light come on when you put the ignition on (engine not started)?
  15. The build codes are on a sticker in the front of the service book & on a copy of that sticker under the boot carpet.
  16. As Sepulchrave already told you in your other thread, the timing probably slipped.
  17. I have a mate in Peebles whose accent sounds very much like yours, Ryan.
  18. ☚ī¸
