  1. Update Below is the answer from SP-EL about those ''pores" on the back of the sensor: " Yes, it´s normal. Because the sensors are manufactured without vacuuming, it makes this surface during the phase the black compound goes hard and the bubbles of the air are leaving it. No influence on the function of the sensor. There´s no need to send the old sensor back to us, save the shipping costs. " So the faulty sensor is my idea only, can not send it back and let's pray to God for the new sensor to last many years.
  2. Happened to me few year ago twice: first on curbs while driving ''sport style" especially on S style which means the car was turning left-right-left abruptly but after a while stopped second while driving in straight line few minutes before i go to the mandatory technical inspection (it's every 2 years here in Greece), my eyes goggled and i said to my self ''that's it, they will cut me and send me back for inspection" but after few minutes nothing happened and i pass the test. Guess what? after few days while driving calmly the same thing happened ! I checked the oil level, for leaks, the filter etc and everything were OK, i called my mechanic and explained everything and he said to me ''bring it here to change the oil pressure switch" and after changing it 4 years now the red light never blinked while driving.
  3. I also have the factory radiator, i don't know if it could help more to add a different one. Isn't for very old models?
  4. You are right. I send the photos to SP-EL waiting for their answer, by the way they claim that 1st time in their life heard about a faulty sensor (as i claim that i have) Let's hope that the new one will last as it should be.
  5. As for the record: i had a similar problem few months ago, when you buy a ''universal'' hose (made in Italy for example) pay attention to the specifications ! Many brands claim that their product is ''for hot water'' but the limit is 90'C if you search it in the factory web site so i am will strongly advise any one who want to buy a radiator hose for his car first of all to search the specifications so the hose can stand 120 'C. If he puts the 1st radiator hose after a while would be very soft and will get lose in the clamp connection. Keep also in mind that many Cz-Poland e-shops sell Vika hoses as ''Skoda part" no matter if the VAG number is correct and NO, not all the universal hoses (as they are) can copy the shape of a pre-curved hose.
  6. Update I replaced the old sensor with a new one, the car started immediately with no problems and finally the fuel consumption started show up on the LCD screen. I feel that i had to test it few days more to be sure because the first one worked for 3 days before start giving me problems. Take a look at the back of the part of the sensor that the cable ''steals" signal from the injector and gives it to the monitor, my electrician insists that this is not normal and it's sign of fault (overheating). What's your opinion about those ''pores" ?
  7. In the panel's gauge is one notch above 90 which means it's 91-92 'C but with another gauge (digital for example) you could measure it exactly and it could be one click less. This car should working beyond this point (as some French cars do) but not in too low temperatures. I have Mahle 80-85 a 10 points scale as 82-92 will raise the fuel consumption especially on traffic with high temperatures as we have here in Mediterranean area because the fan may never stop working (personal experience).
  8. From VW TL774C (G11) to VW TL774D (G12) and then to TL774F (G12+) ?
  9. Few months ago i ordered some parts from Poland, i had a similar problem, my gear stick was ''too loose" in N and in 3rd was was trembling a little bit. By instinct i ordered some parts (the shop helped a lot because for each part had the original code and with an arrow on ETKA was showing his place) and the problem solved. The gear stick is stiffer, no trembling and more ''positive'' changes than before.
  10. In Greece we have the ''he who digs, finds" motto. Thank you! Mahle has it https://www.mahle-aftermarket.com/media/local-media-north-america/pdfs-&-thumbnails/catalogs-and-literature/thermal-products/th-20-16.pdf check the pages 7 and 8.
  11. How to replace the ignition switch on a Skoda Felicia I and II.
  12. The lock on the drivers side is semi-working mode which means i can unlock the car with the key but can not lock it. A local mechanic said he can do a patent but cannot guarantee that will last long which means i had to re-make the patent etc. Removing the panels, working, put them back etc it's not something that i want to make it often and i don't want to replace that lock so i had to have an extra key only for this door. I wish i could repair that lock permanently.
  13. Never-ever heard something relative. The No1 enemy for cables (when the car is inside a covered dark parking and abandoned for long time is the Mouse. Many times to protect themselves from the cold some Cats and Snakes can be found inside the engine bay and i know a case where a Goat bite and ate some exposed cables from my uncles motorcycle. The new sensor from SP-EL arrived and i pray to solve the problem because all the other functions of the TC-6 work as they should be.
  14. You are digging old threads? Then you are my Man! It's factory installed this way or you are the second user? How are the temperatures in the area that you living? 82-68 C Fan Switch? Says this on it?
  15. Thus it's Ok for rear view (cars following) while driving but for parking i don't think will help due to the angle. On my car a said to the electrician and added a button especially for the Parking function because i didn't want the camera to open every time i choose the reverse. Many times you don't need the camera's help to park but on night times it's fantastic, it helps me a lot. I just returned from vacations, i have to solve the TC-6 fuel sensor problem and then i will post some photos.
  16. My fathers Toyota 1983 model here in Evia island had some rust issues on the doors.
  17. I must remind you that he makes them and testing something before send it to the customer protects first of all his reputation. It's not a cheap Chinese store which sells bulbs on ebay and after few months disappears. His words, not my speculations. On my case something went wrong after 2 days and i post it.
  18. Yes, it runs bad because has a defective SP-EL fuel sensor for the TC-6 on the injector. When that sensor removed (2nd video) everything back to normal. That tape is just an effect, supposed don't let the hot air after some time make the intake pipe get very hot.
  19. No problem with the sparks, only with the new SP-EL sensor the problem show up, the 4th cylinder does not get the proper fuel. https://i.imgur.com/iJt4gM4.mp4 After disconnect the SP-EL sensor and puts the factory plug everything went back to normal You can hear the electrician saying that ''now you will see....now it's clean all the 4 of them working" Shouldn't they?
  20. Update: things didn't get well with this TC-6 from SP-EL, the fuel sensor is defective ! The older system was more simple than this one which supposed is ''plug and play" (no cutting the red wire etc). To be honest i am disappointed from this, it was new, supposed they had tested it and keep in mind that they don't have credit card or ebay payment and the shipping rate is very high. To get an idea it's much cheaper to get an item from Texas or Sidney to Athens than an item from Prague to Athens. https://imgur.com/P33zCGIhttps://i.imgur.com/P33zCGI.mp4 You can hear the sound on the video, the fourth cylinder is not working properly and my electrician said that he can not do anything because is sealed from the back. Of course i have not any indications on the LCD screen for fuel consumption so i ordered a new sensor but since it's summer holiday period i have no time to wait for it, when it comes i will install it to see what happens.
  21. Great idea but i am afraid that the lens are going to have some ''tough time" especially with the guys on car washing stores plus that i am unlock the trunk with the key many times so i don't want to remove the lock. I don't use always the alarm so when i am working on a project or have it in inside my garage (birthplace house) i use the key for the trunk. Since i am not young any more and i have injury in the lumbar vertebrae it's not easy for my to turn my head looking back for long time and put some ''guess" while parking especially with a bike behind me at night. I bought this mirror mainly for parking assistance but as i said the things are not as they say in the promote videos. In future posts i will explain more since now i have an issue with my TC-6 trip computer and i am focused there.
