Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
Bad news: There is no 04xx firmware for SKODA MIB STD2 PQ units. Solution is to flash it for VW firmware and then load SKODA HMI however it requires unit to be patched first (see MIB STD2 TOOLBOX). Your unit is Engineering version, there is a risk of bricking it with regular customer firmware.

Skoda Swing Firmware Update - MU 8755
General rule I recommend to follow is "If it works without any issues don't touch it" which means don't make a firmware upgrade if everything works ok. Bricking th eunit during firmware upgrade is not very common but still happens so why should anyone take a risk if there is no need? Check you PMs for download link

Skoda Swing Firmware Update - MU 8755
First of all - although I am from POland and Polish is my mother tongue but this is ENglish forum so pls be so kind to use ENglish :) MirrorLink is obsolete, it has been abandoned by all phone manufacturers, so only Android AUto and Apple CarPlay are in scope. As you have SWING you will need Bolero or Amundsen infotainment reader, infotainment display, new USB and cables to connect it all.

Multimedia upgrade
So now you have Bolero MIB1, with Bluetooth, without DAB, part number 5E0035840A, with Media In port and fortunately you don't have CANTON sound system. You can install one of four different OEM glove box units: - MIB2 Bolero - MIB2 Amundsen - MIB2 Columbus - MIB2.5 Columbus You also need to replace display unit: - for MIB2 Bolero you can use either 6.5" model number 5E0919605H or 8" model number 5E0919605N - for MIB2 Amundsen and MIB2 Columbus you can use listed above display as well as 6.5" model number 5E0919605J, 8" model number 5E0919606, 8" model number 5E0919605M - for MIB2.5 Columbus the only display unit that works is 5E0919606D You also have to replace Media In port with USB. The question is what is your budget and which of listed below features are "must have": - Video playback from DVD, USB, SD - CD playback - OEM navigation - displaying OEM maps in Virtual Cluster (Active Info Display). All units support SmartLink (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink), rear view camera, voice command. features that differ them: - MIB2 Bolero - no OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB - MIB2 Amundsen - OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster) - MIB2 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, no support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster) - MIB2.5 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster)

How far can I update my Infotainment system Firmware?
You can also use other tools to enable GEM, e.g. Vag Can Pro, OBD Eleven, VC Tool, ODIS. Maybe you can find someone near you who has one and can enable it for you? I don't use MIB STD2 Toolbox so can't give you further instructions you 😞

2015 Fabia: Anyone have mirror link?
@CReese123 indeed - as MirrorLink is not supported anymore (it was abandoned by phone manufacturers few years ago) your solution is to SWAP with MY16+ unit and use Android Auto or APple CarPlay. Pls share VIN of your Fabia so I can provide more details
