  1. No need to send the unit for recoding First of all - good job with adaptation maps. You need to adjust coding, change byte 13 to 88, byte 15 to 00 (unless you installed LTE antennas and phone coupler), byte 22 to 01, byte 24 to 7E Some adaptations shoul dbe changed as well: Channel new old Identyczne IDE10480-MAS10741-Interface for external media: activation-Connection 1 not activated activated FALSE ENG122227-ENG117666-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_BCmE not activated activated FALSE ENG122227-ENG117658-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_driving_school_over_threshold_high not activated activated FALSE ENG122227-ENG117508-Car_Function_Adaptations_Gen2-menu_display_Lane_Departure_Warning_over_threshold_high not activated activated FALSE ENG122229-ENG117744-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-AWV_0x1B activated not activated FALSE ENG122229-ENG117711-Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2-parking_assist_0x0A_msg_bus Terminal 15 Suspension data bus FALSE ENG122228-ENG107608-Car_Function_List_CAN_Gen2-MFL available. 2. 1. I'm not 100% sure but I'm afraid not 2. Yes but NAV and TRAFIIC buttons will not work as 5q0035840b doesn't have oem sat nav built-in
  3. Check this thread if you have Amundsen
  4. Yes, it will. Yes, it can, but to get full features of it you need to replace gateway and MFSW buttons.
  5. VW maps update create account (e-mail only required). Select Golf GTI, from 2017, select radio (Discover Media = Amundsen, Discover Pro = Columbus), select region, download
  6. So now you have Bolero MIB1, with Bluetooth, without DAB, part number 5E0035840A, with USB 5Q0035726B and fortunately you don't have CANTON sound system. You can install one of four different OEM glove box units: - MIB2 Bolero - MIB2 Amundsen - MIB2 Columbus - MIB2.5 Columbus You also need to replace display unit: - for MIB2 Bolero you can use either 6.5" model number 5E0919605H or 8" model number 5E0919605N - for MIB2 Amundsen and MIB2 Columbus you can use listed above display as well as 6.5" model number 5E0919605J, 8" model number 5E0919606, 8" model number 5E0919605M - for MIB2.5 Columbus the only display unit that works is 5E0919606D If you woulkd like to use Apple CarPlay then you also have to replace USB port. The question is what is your budget and which of listed below features are "must have": - Video playback from DVD, USB, SD - CD playback - OEM navigation - displaying OEM maps in Virtual Cluster (Active Info Display). All units support SmartLink (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, MirrorLink), rear view camera, voice command. features that differ them: - MIB2 Bolero - no OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB - MIB2 Amundsen - OEM navigation, no CD/DVD drive, no video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster) - MIB2 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, no support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster) - MIB2.5 Columbus - OEM navigation, CD/DVD drive, video playback from SD/USB, support for displaying OEM maps in Active Info Display (Virtual Cluster)
  7. @kfayz Possible, at least both display and glove box unit must be exchanged. Pls share your VIN so I can check the details.
  8. To determine components used in your car - depending on engine and transmission, different parts are used.
  9. Unfortunately I don't have any (there is 0363). How can I help you?
  10. It will work but the APP button may not work (depening on your car - in MY16 units it will not work, in MY17 it will).
  11. Unfortunately for your unit it's not possible to ugrade firmware to anything else than 01xx to get Android AUto and Apple CarPlay, the only possibility is to replace the infotainment unit. New unit must be patched first to have the new features enabled. If you are interested pls contact me on PM.
  12. Your unit is Amundsen MIB2 without DAB part number 5Q0035864A. It supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay however in your case it didn't work as it was not activated (option 9WC - Without "Multimedia" in vehicle). Do you have any possibility to connect VCDS or any other diagnostics tool (OBD Eleven, ODIS, VC Tool) to check if there is a communication with 5F unit and what are the errors? @Winder9561 google for "MIB STD2 Toolbox".
  13. @Konstant_nos you have link on PM. @Winder9561 pls post part number and SW version of your unit. @ScleptzeR 5E0 919 605 J is just a dsiplay, what probably died is the glove box unit, pls post your VIN so I can help more. @techgenius I have no idea, I use my own solutions, you have to google for it. Answering wireless SmartLink (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay) - in MIB2 / MIB2.5 units it's possible but ONLY with the external third party adapter connected to USB.
  14. This is the problem of overfilled NAND. 1) yes, try to reflash it with 5238, you have link on PM (you will need to load maps after reflash) 2) not so much, generally "lowe" letter means older unit
  15. Regarding stereo: this might be a typical "self-touch" problem, caused by faulty touch panel (digitizer). Pls share VIN of your Fabia so I can recommend replacement.
  16. @techgenius it ALWAYS requires patching the unit (swdownload must be patched) which in your case (single SD unit) requires soldering (not possible via SD). All others check your PMs
  17. Not possible via SD in single SD units.
  18. Update sent on PM. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay possible only with third party adapter connected to USB (assuming you have SmartLink activated). Voice Control can be activated either by your SKODA dealer or unit must be hacked - which in this case means it must be open and soldered in order to change some files in EMMC.
  19. I am afraid they are right - such accessory is available only for cars manufactured after 30.07.2018 and yours was made on 21.03.2018. Sorry 😞
  20. @kubalol90 I sent you download link on PM
