It can be done but as dashboard is different you need either to have dashboard replaced (expensive!!!) or reworked (requires some tools and manual skills) or you have to install SD reader in a different place, e.g. in glove box which requires extra harness to be used. Approximate costs 500 GBP.

As a matter of fact in most of such cases it's enough to re-install software.

Indeed, purple is GSM, I beleive it can be used for e-call system. Cables run stright from the unit to antennas in bumper. You cannot hack the unit with VagCom...

@tonytiger76 pls post a picture of your current screen and model number and SW version of your glove box unit (you can check it in menu SETTINGS then SYSTEM INFORMATION).

@Vitmoreno pls post exact model numbe rof your current glove box unit (you can chcek it in menu SETTINGS / SYSTEM INFORMATION) but probably you do not need to exchange any cables - just to cut with a knife excessive plastic trims in 1 or 2 plugs of LVDS HSD video cable between screen and glove box unit. new unit must be hacked, there is no other way to get full functionality.

@AdamSVK pls write detail model numbers of your current screen and glove box unit as well as the ones you want to buy. This is the only way to give 100% correct answers.

I can help you with OEM unit from Skoda Yeti FL - MIB STD2 PQ, either with (Amundsen) or without (Bolero) navigation. They are not Android based but support MirrorLink, Android AUto and Apple carPlay.

How many times I have to mention that sw upgrade must be made from service menu.... (long press menu button)... and that all files must be unpacked to FAT32 formatted SD card, initialized under MBR, and must be unpacked to the root folder (file metainfo2.txt and all folders must be directly in the root)...

0478 is the latest version I have available. I think this is not the issue of SW version but either: - incorrect coding (pls paste yours) - outdated FEC/SWaP (pls paste screen shot of all FEC/SWaP codes that are installed in your unit) - wrong data on SD card (pls paste screenshot showing folder structure) - non-original SD card (card must have deicated CID to work)

MIB STD2 PQ units, factory installed in Yeti from MY16. - Bolero without DAB 5L0035680B or 5L0035680D - Bolero with DAB 5L0035680C or 5L0035680E - Amundsen without DAB 5L0035680B or 5L0035680D - Amundsen with DAB 5L0035680C or 5L0035680E Unit must be hacked in order to work in Superb Mk2.

I am afraid Bose system will not work as expected in Superb - in Audi woofers are located in the front and overall number of speakers in different. If you don't want to show what you have done then my proposal is: 1. install vibration damping matts inside the doors 2. replace speakers, I recommend Gladen Audio One 165 SQX for both front and rear 3. add digital sound processor and 8 channel amplifier, I am very pleased with STEG SDSP8 4. tune new system to your preferences Estimated cost 1200-1500 GBP.
