I can't. I just thought that as the date doesn't make any sense are the fault codes correct?

Can you hear the washer pump running?

I replaced mine at 8 yrs old. Mine has been faultless. Pretty bulletproof engine in my experience.

Mine, obviously not the fastest on acceleration, sits at 70mph effortlessly with 2 ppl in it and no load.

Are you losing any water?

Suggest you check for wet/damp carpets. Any water in the spare wheel well?

Would it be an MOT failure?

When I had a manual, it was always left in gear.

There have been instances where the handbrake has released itself and the car has rolled.

When you re-connect the battery, try to press the central locking button, the doors may not be deadlocked.

Get the battery / alternator checked first.

Although they're servicing the car, they probably won't be touching the gearbox as there is no service schedule for it.

I mentioned this in an earlier post and the reply from @TheClient was if the locks were deadbolted the central locking button would not work. This was a surprise to me, so I sat in my car, locked it with the remote and sure enough no response from the central locking switch. There is no internal boot release.
