  6. I replaced mine at 8 yrs old. Mine has been faultless. Pretty bulletproof engine in my experience.
  7. Mine, obviously not the fastest on acceleration, sits at 70mph effortlessly with 2 ppl in it and no load.
  8. Suggest you check for wet/damp carpets. Any water in the spare wheel well?

  11. When I had a manual, it was always left in gear.
  12. There have been instances where the handbrake has released itself and the car has rolled.
  13. When you re-connect the battery, try to press the central locking button, the doors may not be deadlocked.
  14. Get the battery / alternator checked first.
  15. Although they're servicing the car, they probably won't be touching the gearbox as there is no service schedule for it.
  16. I mentioned this in an earlier post and the reply from @TheClient was if the locks were deadbolted the central locking button would not work. This was a surprise to me, so I sat in my car, locked it with the remote and sure enough no response from the central locking switch. There is no internal boot release.
