Although they're servicing the car, they probably won't be touching the gearbox as there is no service schedule for it.- Recovered Stolen car… now it gets hard..
I mentioned this in an earlier post and the reply from @TheClient was if the locks were deadbolted the central locking button would not work. This was a surprise to me, so I sat in my car, locked it with the remote and sure enough no response from the central locking switch. Windows need the ignition on.- recharging the battery?
It was 10 yrs old in January going by the mfg code. Car was registered in Mar 2013 and I bought it as an ex demo in Sept 2013. Its always had long periods of discharge of between 3 to 4 months and has always had enough power to start up. Start stop has always been used. These days, because I know I'm on borrowed time with it and hardly using the car, I'll start it up after about 6 weeks and run around for an hour or so. I can't use a charger without taking the battery out. My previous 2005 Octavia 1.6 petrol had exactly the same treatment and the battery was ok at 8.5 yrs old when I sold it.- Recovered Stolen car… now it gets hard..
If you can get a charge to the battery by connecting to the stater motor, can you then get something long to reach the central locking button?- Gearbox error DQ250

Is this a recent thing you've noticed or has it always had this type of fuel consumption?- whistling, vibrating sound
- Changing a s/s battery?
Did it cure the s/s fault?- Estate rear end just slid out a little easily?
Speed is not the issue here. OP was only doing 30mph and it was a momentary lapse of observation that caused the problem.- Estate rear end just slid out a little easily?
.- Fuse box and Gear Box questions…
One fuse serves both sockets.- whistling, vibrating sound
Does it go away when you turn off the ventilation system?- Drivers window just stopped working
Just hold down the unlock button and all 4 windows will open for as long as you press the button. Do the same with the lock button to close them. I think there is an option in settings to enable this feature.- Drivers window just stopped working
Can you open the window using the key fob remote? - Parking pawl not engaging
