  2. I'll amend that "as used to be recommended". Should still have been done going by guidelines in place at that time.
  3. Was the timing belt replaced when it got to 5 years old as recommended by Skoda UK? A new pump should have been fitted then. If you can prove it was, then there is a better chance of a goodwill gesture.
  4. In case anyone is having trouble viewing with this format, here are jpg images.
  5. I'm surprised the garages haven't picked it up.
  6. My rear pads & discs are original from 2013 and on 62K. Front pads only replaced at 45K.
  7. Not as issue for me on this car or any other car I've driven.
  8. Could have disturbed a wire going to the ABS sensor on the wheel they changed, altho the ABS light should have come on.
  9. I'd forgotten that
  10. What unit do you have?
  11. Well, Skoda's motto is "simply clever".
  12. It makes some sense to change the pump at the same time as the belt due to its relationship with the belt even if its given no trouble There's no guarantee that the new pump won't fail prematurely.
  13. In the UK, Skoda recommend a belt change every 5 years, so the water is changed then. I believe that if the car has the silikat bag it extends the working life of the water way beyond 5 years.
  14. For the TDI's it would be until the timing belt was changed.
  15. Seems like engine oil as you have to top up more often. Oil is thinner after a run making it easier to leak from somewhere.
  16. When you wipe it, what colour is it?
  17. The steering is electric, no fluid reservoir.
  18. Well, it wouldn't work at all first thing but at the end of my trip it did work and read 80%
  19. Get it back to the garage under warranty.
  20. Out of interest, would a smart charger only charge to around 80%?
  21. The odd times I've checked the SOC using the trip set button, I've never seen more than about 70%. I'll check it in a few days time before starting the engine (not used for about 2 wks) and again after a 250 mile trip I'm planning.
