I'm not trolling. If Autoglass haven't got the stock, then they haven't got it. As long as I'm assured it will come then I have to accept that. In the meantime, I could check with other companies to see if they have it in stock and see if Autoglass could buy it from them. Your example of a mother of two is strange. She's probably only doing the school run and shopping, so if she had the temporary glazing as you now say you have then she won't be affected.

But going by your posts, you would have expected the glass to be in stock, so waiting for two weeks would be unreasonable.

Obviously not an ideal situation having to wait, but did you rant and rave about the company for not having it in stock? I'm guessing no.

Unless the side window is broken by someone breaking into the car they don't often break. Even less reason for glass replacement companies to hold stock.

Do you have a Fabia or Octavia?

Is it possible, the next time it makes the noise, get it recovered by Skoda assist who have previously said it's best not to drive it? The garage may be more inclined to give you a loan car.

When you run the a/c is there water dripping out from the drain pipe under the car?

In your first post you mention lifting the carpet. People here are just giving advice and suggestions. I don't know what's involved in removing the carpets, but if you want to solve the problem then maybe that's what you'll have to do.

Did you spin the wheels and hear the noise. Does it do it with both wheels?

Leave the carpets out and try and see where the waters coming from.

Does it do it with any door?

Mine has the latest and final update (Skoda no longer provide new updates for the Amunsden 1) and it fits onto my original 8GB card.

If the water pump belt snaps. at best it's an inconvenience. It's not going to damage your engine as a snapped cambelt would.

You can set it for one press on the fob to open drivers door only or set it to open all doors with 2 or 3 presses.
