  1. I've been a lifelong metal fan since I first heard 'No Sleep To Hammersmith' back in around 1982 when I was 10. Motorhead just blew me away, and I would say that is where my metal journey started. Seen them live 3 times, outstanding. I've every Motorhead album and a few t-shirts. I've only the one tattoo, I bet you can guess what it is!! Slayer, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth etc etc. Love it all really. FFDP and In Flames if we are getting a bit more modern. Like Gojira too, very avant-garde! Big fan of older stuff too. Led Zepplin, Black Sabbath..... oh my the list goes on. ZZ Top one of my all time favourite bands too. Mind, my musical tastes are really wide. I listen to quite a bit of world music, like a lot of classical music too. Johnny Cash, brilliant. Die hard Neil Young fan too. In the early 90' I discovered techno. That has never left me either. I find the energy of techno actualy really similar to the energy of heavy metal. Music with attitude. Amelie Lens, Matrixxman, SPFDJ, I Hate Models etc. As @nutters_uclan says, I could go on for days......
  2. Sometime referred to as a brake fitting kit. I've found Pagid to be brilliant quality in the past.
  3. Mercedes drivers will be jealous....it's from a real animal and you've proof !!
  4. Was in more interesting that Tolstoys War And Peace??
  5. Takes me back. A teacher at my upper school had a black one of those. We all thought it was so cool.
  6. Some cars you just don't gel with. On paper, it's all you want, but in the flesh it just doesn't do it for you. it happens sometimes. I reckon if you can move it on without getting hit financialy, then find something you do like. If you can stay finance free, all the better.
  7. 100% you should. I once purchased a Mazda 6 approved used. Like you, on the test drive, I was a bit concerned about the seat. Went ahead and bought the car, thinking it must just be me. Well, it wasn't. By the time I'd driven the car 50 miles, I realised I'd made a big mistake. The seats gave me serious back ache and I have been very careful when buying a car ever since. So yeah, get yourself a 24hr test drive if you can. I wish I had. Fortunately I was able to move the Mazda on swiftly and only lost a very small amount of money.
  8. Amelie Lens - Kompass Klub Closing - NYE LIVESTREAM - Literally the best 2hr techno set I've heard this year!
  9. Moment of joy yesterday, was collecting a couple of books from the library. They have the 'reserve and collect' service working again! Been lost without the library, such a vital resource. i have a new Henry Miller and Tim Winton to read over the next couple of weeks. Fantastic.
  10. Good posts re bats. Do like a bit of bat spotting, but haven't been out so far this year for a watch. Think I will go for a looksee tonight. We've some lakes a few miles up the road where there are usualy loads of bats.....fingers crossed. Started thinking about an England based break in July, first week of the school holidays. Be so nice to get away after the year of lockdowns, but a look about tells me it's going to be very expensive. Almost don't dare to hope and plan a holiday, but can't stop myself for the PMA effect if nothing else.
  11. Sounds like a 'Confessions Of' movie from the 70's with Robin Askwith !!
