  1. All these deletes can be done and then mapped out be a decent ecu remapper. You can use resistors and plenty of people, but I think doing it properly will eliminate any future issues. A couple of topics down we talked about the deletes, so be sure to check it out. I think it was in nutters post. Here’s the post; For the valve just replace that with a genuine one from TPS/Skoda. They’re around £50.
  2. Hello and welcome to the club!
  3. You can see the movement in there. And if they're not genuine and after market, I found that they don't last as long. No harm in changing them again for genuine Skoda one or very high quality after market part as they're not that expensive.
  4. I dropped mine and it went deep into the corner where I couldn't get it. I ended up having to go to a breakers and find an Octavia and took all the spare screws.
  5. I’ve only ever used Quantum LongLife III 5W-30 from TPS. They sell 5L for £19, and when on offer for £13. Both used in my VRS and the diesel. I do an oil change every 10k or 1 year which ever comes first.
  6. For the underlay? If so, then no. I never bothered as I’d probably remove it again at some point.
  7. Nicely done, and brave haha.
  8. I must have a mental block about the elegance model. 😂
  9. No all the same. Golf, Bora, other Octavia’s in Hatchback and Estates all fit. Personally, the charcoal carpet from the L&K looks the best. Has a nice contrast with the plastics. From my Black VRS:
  10. Moved to MK2 area.
  11. Pretty much the same colour out of my Red one and they were even that dirty! Years and years of grime! 🤢
  12. That’s been through a lot of hands now and it’s got a new engine in it as the last screwed it and still tried to sell it for stupid money. A1, I’ll tidy up the thread for you in a bit, sorry.
  13. Welcome any time good sir! 🥸
  14. With the screws out around the console you can lift the front up and twist to one side and it should slide out. Make sure the handbrake is up high like mine. Don’t forget the hidden screw right under the dash on the right side at the far back. It’s a very long screw and holds the whole center console in. The other way is to just release the bolts around the hand brake and lay it down to the side. I’ve never bothered doing that as I don’t think it’s needed.
  15. Remove all the of the center cup holder console (between the seats) to get access to the handbrake. It will look like this, just without the armrest bracket (unless you have one). Photo from when I changed the carpet over in my Black VRS. I think from memory it either clips off or unscrews.
  16. It would be wise to post in the MK2 section if that is what you have. 👍🏻 10 points for bumping a 10 year old topic. 🤣
  17. It could be seals, door cards, window strips or all 3. Here’s a recent topic about it all.
  18. I’ll keep a look out for you. Sometimes they come on the Elegance models (without xenons). Does it matter what colour?
  19. If it was me, I’d probably nip down the local scrapyards and see if I can take any off the cars that share the same engine.
  20. I’ve ran both and find the 225/45 more planted to the road. And to be honest I’ve only ever bought 225/45. The 205/50’s have usually what come with the car when purchased. I also think they look better than the taller tyre. And yes, they will be cheaper as it’s a much more common size. Often you can find a set of RS5 or EagleF1 or Falken F510 (x4) for under £240.
  21. I believe @skinnyman has just does to his as he was in the same boat. So he might have some wisdom on the matter.
  22. 1) I haven’t seen any and it’s been an excuse to add a catch can. However, my outlook is that it was designed for a reason. 2) It can when you see how the pipe work routes. A little harder with the engine but when it’s out it makes sense. Bowders guide does include a drawing of the PCV system which helps. 3) Most have it coded out at the time of the map and have the deletes done before this.
  23. 21 and 19 are the sizes for blades.
