As a pc gamer , i get regular patches to games like MS Flight sim 2020. They tell you in the patch release what they fixed and what fixes are scheduled. Wouldn't it be good to know that info for our cars

1803 has been in my Op been fine for the 2 weeks I've had the software. Issues still exist like sat nav not saving home position or clima forgetting my last choices. On the whole not so bad and hope for better. No more black screen with circle of death. DO i trust the car ,, absolutely not , im waiting for a fail and if that happens then its goodbye. I made a complaint to Skoda UK and asked for a goodwill first free service for sticking with the car. They will after contacting my dealer call me back on Monday coming. I bet they try to negotiate down.

The fix you are talking about , is it 1803 or something bigger like a full re-map

My petrol VRS can only dream of such MPG's. I get around town 28 , motorway 42 tops. I didnt give that a thought when i ordered. I just thought ooh the spirited drive, slip diff , 0-60 etc.

Wonder what Skoda UK are up to , SOS messages on screen. Well today i received an email from Skoda UK on how my recent dealer visit was and why i had visited and how many stars would i give etc. Having leased 3 prior cars from Skoda , hadnt seen this. It maybe just " GOOD!!" customer care.

So we all know that Met Grey was discontinued on the VRS. My thoughts being it was too pretty for Skoda to be allowed it. Well , today i seen a brand new Audi A3 in my exact or as near as Met grey. I've seen other Audis in darker grey and other shades but not the same as my VRS. You think I'm right or am i just talking "MINCE".

Talking of the chip shortage , i bought a mid range graphic card last summer for £230 , ebay are now looking at £500 plus for this card due to short supply. Crazy world indeed!

hey Ultra , Mad Pete is like most of annoyed that our cars have been F'd up so badly and we have been left to test the cars they didn't take the time to test. Mad Pete feel yer pain brother. I have to say Ultra your English is very good , jeez i dont know many people in my country that can speak or write in an other language. Thats to say i enjoy your contributions to this site. We are divided by many miles but have the same problems.

7 hr drive for me that one

I raised a phone complaint yesterday with Skoda UK on the various software issues , multiple trips to the dealer. I told them i was about to reject the car but would wait to see if the 1803 SW done the job. The car has been off the road a toral of 10 days since i got her start of Feb this year I asked for my first service to be paid for. Is this fair , should i have asked for more.? What s the likely outcome. Promised a call back within 48hrs

With the auto hold i now have a problem of engine hesitancy and the feeling of a handbrake bind. Any others gettin this. I push the accelerator and its like no power till i do it again and then we are off. Happens once or twice per drive. Is this software related?

Hi mate , my last car *_( Superb) had it but this one doesn't. I think the whole car is online and connect features are there without a menu item. Things like live traffic ( depending on your privacy settings. Find a POI all accessible via screen or via Laura. No weather or news options. I think as most of us use Apple or Android , no need for VW to code that in.

I have a D build unit also , and had the 1803 installed last week at the dealer , who kept the car for a full week and tested. They found no faults. I have seen no faults since getting the car back, so fingers crossed. I can see the screen is more responsive but imagine more updates further down the line

Maybe the VRS was too pretty in met grey for Audi. Our poor cousin Octy cant be better than the A3 ,4 or Golf.

That is maybe a year ago that SW , mine was built Dec 20 and came with 1788 i think. Get it in and updated

The Columbus maps show traffic congestion and Laura even comes on to say traffic heavy ahead. I like it

Mine went in last week and has the VW wide 1803 installed in the Golf and Octy. My prev SW was 1788

Ok so not electric but i find them as comfortable as my prev car the Superb sportline. Good bolstering.

For anyone considering the Octy, even though i have probs with the SW , i would say go for it. VW Golf has the same problems and they are installing 1803 across their range. I had 1803 installed on Friday and all seems fine. I love my VRS and couldn't think of another car in this segment that i would want. Especially as mine is in Meteor grey and that has now been discontinued. I think i may have the only one in saloon in that colour up here in Glasgow. I

The ACC overtake prob , i had in my last car a Superb. My Guess and shoot me down if I'm wrong. The cars are mostly built for the right side ie europe roads. So when we over take in the UK we are in the European slow lane and the car thinks that we are under taking. To counter I hover over the accelerator and press once when the car slows or hesitates.

Im on SW 1803 as of today , ive tested her and all seems well . Been here before but hoping its sorted. I have D version of unit built Dec 22 2020. I dont want to jinx but the info screen seems to move a wee bit faster.

Hi all , i have had the new software 1803 installed at dealership. Cant see any difference to operation , not any faster. Only time will tell if the glitches are gone for good
