Unfortunately not if you have a 5Q0035874A Amundsen from 2016 but if you have a 5Q0035874B Amundsen from 2017 you just need a firmware update.

You will also need to have a BCM with the correct pin for LED lighting.

The AliExpress ones linked do have dynamic lines. One I fitted to a Octy here and I’ve done 2x Superb’s.

The C is the facelift MIB2.5, B is fine. That part number should be only for Octavia, 3V0 would be a Superb part so should just be an incorrect listing. Amp part number is 81A035223

If it’s a Bolero TSR will never work correctly as there is no map data to support it. 5Q0035874A MIB2 Amundsen will do nicely, 6.5 inch screen (5E0919605J) is a lot cheaper than 8 inch, but the amplifier is very expensive if the original can’t be reworked. Coding from MDI to USB will be done with MIB swap as all MIB2’s have the USB. TSR will work with MIB2 Amundsen only after firmware update with either VCP or ODIS.

I would connect to a constant 12v in the fusebox personally. Is there anything showing on the scan? Has the module been added to the gateway? Sounds like a video feed issue possibly.

From the description it looks like you have a MIB1 Amundsen with CANTON and if so, traffic sign recognition will never work right. You will need a MIB2 Amundsen or Columbus for CarPlay and this radio will need to be made CP free and have the features re activated. You will also need a MIB2 amp with CP removed. You can change the MDI for USB with a new loom and coding. You can use either OEM or aftermarket camera with guidance lines but there isn’t a good aftermarket camera for the smaller MY15 boot handle with guidance lines that work like OEM. If you have the 112x48mm handle or you cut the bootlid yourself you will be fine. Part numbers will vary depending on what you want to spend. For TSR with the MIB2 you will need the lane assist camera firmware updated to 0060 with VCP otherwise you will continue to get the warning bong and no map fusion.

They fit but the wiring is different so they aren’t plug and play. Also they are very dim. Aftermarket LED panels are much better IMO. I have tried both.

Presume you want the boot handle? In which case £400 is a stupid amount of money seeing as you can buy them for a few £ and you can get a handle with a camera in, no coding needed from AliExpress for under £35. Nice upgrade.

Needs VCP to load 6c3 data over and then coding to activate the pins. Then you also get 5 channel EQ but an LC2i, amp and sub will always be better. I do but it’s staying for now as I would prefer a CANTON sub box as the whole thing would be neater that way so I’m keeping it for a bit.

The sound on the diesel won’t change unless the dpf is removed and even then it doesn’t make a massive difference. Unfortunately the EA288 just isn’t suited for tuning in this way. You can get a nice burble form the back with a full dpf back system from the likes of Tony Banks in Leeds but it doesn’t make a huge difference.

In the boot, in the elastic pouches. Not ideal but works. Would rather have the sub like the CANTON option but this works for now.
