  1. One of the SD card slots will be for the Sat Nav maps.
  2. Bees on the Ball Thistles
  3. Our 2019 190 TDI was in the local, friendly, Škoda dealership for its 3rd annual service today. On collecting the car, the Service Manager told us that they'd performed a software update on the ECU but she didn't know what it was for; only that Škoda had mandated it. Has anyone else had this performed or know what it's for? TIA
  4. I'm guessing that's a 184 PS model. That should remap to c. 220 bhp and 330 lbs-ft. 😁
  5. An old friend of mine in Trowbridge, Wilts is currently selling his: 2.0 TDI SCR (150PS) 4X4 SE L Outdoor DSG 5-Dr 5dr It's green! Jan 2016 Registered. 120,000 miles (just run in ) 2.0 TDi 148BHP 6 Sp DSG Gearbox - lovely smooth change Tan leather interior Sat Nav (recent map update) DAB radio, full Bluetooth, touch screen display. Electric windows all round Heated front seats Air con (recent re-gas) Full Skoda service history Detachable towbar (light towing use only) I am the second owner Full size spare wheel. Currently on winter steel wheels and normal tyres (16"). Also set of standard alloy wheels (but will need new tyres on those 17") Auto start/stop Xenon Headlights Will probably think of a load more extras it's got, so will add them later. Basically a rock solid car that's in good overall condition but has a supermarket ding in the drivers door and a weird small area of paintwork flaking on the front bumper. See pics, only noticed this a few weeks ago, no idea how it started. No major stone chips, but it's a 6 year old 120k car so isn't immaculate. Also has a scratch on the drivers seat (see pic) caused by a screwdriver in the back pocket, otherwise seats and interior all very clean. Drives superbly, averages 48 - 50mpg around town, a bit more on motorway, and 35mpg when towing a small box trailer. Everything works just as it should, had no issues in my ownership - had the Haldex oil and timing belt/water pump service done when I bought it 3 years ago, so another year before that is due again. Pictures taken before I've had a chance to clean it, may get it professionally valeted if I have time. Priced to sell, given mileage and condition, £8000 firm. If you're interested, I'll PM you his number.
  6. It is possible to do what you're suggesting. I know because I do exactly that. 2016 SE L Drive Yeti and iPhone 8. Most of the time I use it to play Radio Paradise but I have tried it with Waze. However, for navigation, I use my Garmin nuviCamLMT-D .
  7. As a work around and for me a much better solution, I recommend the Radio Paradise app which allows you to download an unlimited amount of music into your phone's cache and then play it off line. Radio Paradise https://radioparadise.com DJ mixed, 24 hr, ad-free, supported by listener donations, Main, Mellow, Rock and Eclectic streams in a range of qualities all the way up to FLAC..
  8. Really - you want more smoke? Maybe you need more power....
  9. Pah, jist a wean!
  10. Probably something a struggle with only 68 bhp, I'd have thought. The last car I owned with such little power was a 1985 FIAT Uno 70S. Although it was somewhat lighter at c. 840 Kg and would haul itself up to just over 100 mph eventually.
  11. Run the aircon and it won't fog up. I run mine on both cars all the time. Shame they don't make motorcycle helmets with aircon or I'd have on of those as well.
  12. Exactly the reason I fitted them to the Yeti. I can leave it sitting in the drive, here in sunny Fife, with the windows cracked and any passing showers won't get into the interior. It would be even better if I could source front window blinds to match the rears but the only ones I ever found were from Russia and £££. The downside is that they do increase audible wind noise, especially in combination with the roof bars, at speeds in excess of 70 mph.
  13. That's very helpful, thank you. I'll need to check the VIN on our October 2019 registered car.
  14. KESSY...? If so, buy Faraday pouches to keep the keys in and use them.

Yes, exactly the same. We have a 2106 Yeti and a 2019 Karoq. The Karoq aircon is nowhere near as cool as the Yeti. I believe WLTP is to blame.

The 140 has a smaller turbo than the 170, so it spools up more quickly.

Agreed. I have CrossClimate + on the Yeti and I use all of its 185 bhp and 300 lbs-ft a lot of the time as well as its bigger front brakes and XDS enabled on the front axle. I particularly like the steering feel that the rounded tread profile provides. Testing them back to back on snow with the Dunlop Winter Sport D5 that we use on the Karoq in the winter, the biggest difference between them is under braking but even there, the Michelins are impressive. I believe that CrossClimate2 might be even better.
  19. Lots of listings for ET45 17" wheels for Fabia 2 which is what I'd expect and one for ET48 which might be a mistake, If you want to be sure, pull off a wheel and the ET will be cast in the reverse of the centre boss or one of the spokes.
  20. What size of wheel and tyre are you going to fit?
  21. I've never done it but I think it should be possible to obtain the car's correct mileage from the ECU, using VCDS. This would suggest that you can... https://www.servicetutorials.com/2018/11/26/how-to-check-verify-the-real-kilometers-mileage-on-vw-skoda-audi-seat-with-vcds-vagcom-in-4-steps/
  22. Reset all 4 windows using the procedure in Kenny R's post above.
  23. Have you reset the one-touch open and close function on all four windows?
  24. Schtum replied to Dave-Yeti's topic in Skoda Yeti
Has it had the 'emissions fix'? My 150 TDI averages c.40 mpg but it is mapped to 185 bhp and I drive it quite hard.
  25. Schtum replied to Stubod's topic in Skoda Yeti
It's not really surprising J.R. Even if sales were buoyant, corporate VAG policy would have dictated a change to the MQB platform for a vehicle in that segment. They wouldn't have continued to build Mk5 Golf (A5 - PQ35) platforms just to build a small, quirky crossover. Greater alignment with the mothership and ever increasing component sharing is the name of the game.
