  1. Hi, Battery reloaded over night. It's now 12.59V. No more error message upon cold start this morning. Great! Thank you guys. Delivery to new owner is planned for tomorrow morning. All good! πŸ™‚
  2. Thank you Graham, I've actually noticed that there's a spΓ©cial part on the - terminal, where to connect the battery charger. I had in mind to respect this point. Apart from that, nothing special?
  3. Hi, My local dealer made following diagnostic: Battery is a bit weak. This is what raises the error message on cold start in the morning by cool temp. I'm then not very surprised since I drove my Mk3 for less than 200km over the last 6 weeks. Additionally, the dual dash cams draw a bit of current and even generate a "8531970 - Quiescent Current - U1406" fault code in VCDS diagnostic. I've measured only 11.99V after a 20km drive, back from the dealer. I forced it in 5th gear, to have higher revs to improve battery charging (without forcing a DPF regen). I intend to load my battery a bit so that the buyer has no worry with it (he should pick my/his Mk3 up on saturday). 2 days later, it has dropped down to 11.58V. I was then asking myself if there's a special procedure to load the AGM battery? I have to say I never had to load a battery on any of the cars I owned. Just plug the battery charger on the battery + & - (engine & contact OFF)? Or is there something special to do? Yeah I know, I could read the manual... Sorry.
  4. Thanks, it suits well to Sportline version with its glossy black parts too! I'm thinking of having chrome parts covered with glossy black film. I've just started asking for quotes (for side windows chrome trims, roof bars and front grill surround)
  5. If the dealer has a very professional experience and applies best practices, this is the standard procedure before he starts doing anything. This is exactly how they do by my local dealer. No car enters the workshop without a proper visual inspection before. Then no worry when you get your car back.
  6. Insane bargain! Normal price is around €280 with a 3-VIN version. Unlimited version is close to €700 or so!
  7. Thanks. It's quite rare to have pics with car moving! Great! May be the first Kodiaq I see in 'drifting' mode... πŸ˜„
  8. Hi, I've done this modification on my Mk3 almost from the beginning. Though I didn't disable completely the S&S. Factory setting of start limit voltage is 7.6V. I've pushed it to 9.0V So that it doesn't kick in too often. (This value is just a question of 'taste'). If it's set to 12.0V, then S&S is completely disabled. I've lurked for years on Audi and Skoda forums, I've never read someone reporting problems related to S&S disabled using this method. I plan to do the same on my current Kodiaq Mk1 However Im' curious to know, what makes you think it's not a great idea. Feel free to explain. I may have missed some point. TIA
  9. Hi, Coming from the Superb Mk3 forum, I feel like this kind of thread is missing here... πŸ™‚ Thus, here a pic of my new to me MY2022 Kodiaq Mk1 (TDI200 4x4 DSG7 L&K). This was few weeks ago, couple of days after delivery: Feel free to add your own pics! πŸ˜€
  10. Hi, Took delivery of some spare parts today: A set of alloy rims. Original ones will be used with winter tyres. Double sides boot carpet Tunnel rubber mat Caps for ISOfix hooks on back seats Dummy button for rear passengers 12V socket Skoda Logo for tailgate (not very fan of the 'S K O D A' lettering) Deep clean planned for this week-end before taking few pics... Of course!
  11. Hi, This may be true on Mk4, but I've never heard/read such a thing for Mk3. However, FL version of Mk3 (and your MY23 in particular) may have SFD protection on some Control Units, which could prevent you from doing mods...
  12. Hi, I think this video answers your questions:
  13. @brettikivi Did you have saw tooth wear on your winter tyres? Completely different topic: both head rests from sleeping pack installed today. I've sat up for few seconds. It looks head is comfortably held to avoid neck muscles being strained... Final approval will come from my children. 😁
  14. Nothing to add. All has been said. One point though. The 235/40/19 tyres comfort may depend on how the side wall is stiff. Michelin Primacy should be more comfortable than Michelin PS4 for instance...
  15. Almost sold my Mk3 Estate. Deal is done... The buyer is a Skoda fan (he told me his current Skoda is the 7th one). He is an ex-Mk3 owner. it was a TDI150 with manual gear box. He has been regretting it for it's comfort. He was amazed about the cleanliness of my Mk3, he's really happy. Now we only have to make the paperwork and payment. My Mk3 should definitely leave by the end of next week. The funny thing is that he lives 15mn from home. Thus I may see may ex-Mk3 from time to time.
  16. Ourselves? How many were you, Two guys? A 3 hour job is not the same thing if you're alone or if you have a buddy. 😁
  17. Sorry, I forgot to answer your point about spec tips. L&K is quite well standard specced. Here are some options I got on my ex-Superb Mk3 Estate or currently have on my Kodiaq Mk1 IMHO Matrix LED headlight highly improves the night vision. DCC is a nice to have since it enables you having a '3-in-1' car (though risks of absorbers leak/mist). Sport mode makes the suspension firm, whereas comfort mode makes it a real flying carpet and smooths out almost everything on long motorway trips. It's like a "tiredness" saver... ACC is great especially if coupled with Side Assist, since it enables Trafic Jam Assist (very useful if you often struggle with such traffic situation in your neighborhood). Paddle shifters, I had specced them but I barely use them in the end... Blind spot detection: It's a safe option. Morevoer on the FL version with lights on the side mirrors shell. It's much more visible than the original version with icons on the mirror itself on non FL Mk3. Smart Light Assist: If you often drive at night, it's comfortable to have headlights continuously optimizing the lighting efficiency and maximizing the beam width Foldable trailer hook really depends on your needs. But thinking "it's not a big deal if It doesn't have it, I'll have it retrofitted" would be an expensive mistake. It's at least a €1500 ticket (in France) and up to €2800 if you want a real OEM version installed by an official dealer... Thus I would say: think twice about it! ;) Virtual pedal: interesting but not reliable enough... You often dance on a single leg for several seconds without succeeding opening/closing the boot... Panoramic sunroof: a possible cause of issues: I had a sunroof chassis crack on my forme Superb Mk2 Estate: a €2800 repair ticket (fortunately Skoda France covered 60% of the bill)? This seems to be rare but happend to me. However, the water drain hoses may disconnect from the sunroof chassis, leading to water ingress. It's not that rare (fortunately, i didn't face that too). I also had to replace the rear window seal on my former Superb Mk3 Estate. It tore off 4" long. There are also some cases reported here of cracks around front window on hatchbacks. I've no sunroof on my current Kodiaq and feel I have more peace of mind. Hope it helps!
  18. Hi, As a TDI-MK3 ex-owner, I won't be able to talk about the battery and hybrid parts. But I would recommend checking shock absorbers are not leaking or misting (at least). Several of us had to replace them. I had to to it on my Mk3 Estate around 92000km, thus quite similar to 60K+ you're mentioning. I think it's something to pay attention on an iV version since it's probably heavier due to its battery.
  19. Received both head rests from sleeping pack today.πŸ˜ƒ Will install them this week-end. Otherwise, all parts ordered are available by my local dealer. πŸ˜ƒ again ! Will pick them up on monday. OEM-tuning / upgrade is about to start... 😁
  20. Maybe @ApertureS knows about the answer... πŸ€” He's a bit like our 'Guru' here, when it goes about retrofitting.😁
  21. Hi, There's one point that that is often forgotten or not mentionned to explain why there's an important price difference between real OEM and OEM-like tow bar: 2nd fan for radiator cooling! If you intend to use a tow bar just for a bike carrier or a small trailer, I think an OEM-like tow bar can do the job. BUT if you intend to tow a caravan, I would say an OEM-like tow bar may be a kind of gambling with your engine, which is not worth the money saving compared to the real OEM. Just to sum up the specific functions related to tow bar option, when a trailer is plugged: Parking sensors disabled Rear fog light disabled (to avoid reflexion on the front of the caravan and being dazzled in the centre rearview mirror). ESP anti-sway function activated Trailer assist function activated on the reverse cam screen. Control laws of the 2nd radiator fan implemented Maybe some others I don't remember. All of these must be added using VCDS. The wiring alone is not enough... Then choose the right one for your needs, but with full awareness. πŸ˜‰
  22. Maybe the icon has been introduced with Kodiaq FL version. I'll check that tomorrow on mine, if I remember to.
  23. You're right. Actually, I didn't expect this kind of feature, thus it's a kind of bonus. I could have spent my whole ownership without knowing this. 😁 There are mainly 2 kinds of situation where I read the manual: when I expect something happening that isn't, or when there's something unexpected that I don't understand... πŸ˜‰
