Color sticker
AFAIK, all Superb are delivered w/o sunglasses storage box. It's an accessory that you have to order and install yourself.

Rear wiper random weirdness.
I didn't know that. I'll test it. Thanks.

Head vs Heart: 4x4 or not?
They don't, since it's not written in the workshop manual in maintenance chapter. There's a second fan actually, for factory fitted tow bar. I do drive a TDI190 DSG6 4x4 L&K (MY18). I wanted a 4x4, though I don't really need it (I live 20km from Paris, thus quite fair climate, on no mountain around). I just wanted to feel safer when I go skiing. But I can't say a FWD wouldn't have been safe enough. Hundreds of Superb Mk3 drivers don't have 4x4 and don't complain. I don't tow. But I'm not sure a 4x4 is major argue for towing, since it's roughly 100kg of dead weight most of the time. The main argue for a 4x4 may be for hill starts. At least I guess... Actually, I think it also strongly depends on the size (and weight) of your caravan too. If it's a small one as you said, it may not be critical to have a FWD. Anyway, once you have the car, have no regret! Enjoy your drives.

Color sticker
Hi, If I remember well, they don't put stickers anymore since 2020 or so... Unfortunately, I don't know how to find the color code without the sticker. 🤷♂️ Maybe @ApertureS 👋 knows...

Columbus Map Update problem
Since my MK3 is a MY18 (built in october 2017), I guess it's a MIB2.

Rear wiper random weirdness.
Hi, I don't now if you own a hatchback or an Estate, but on my Estate, the rear wiper triggers on its own depending on the speed of the front wiper (even if the stalk is on the OFF position for the rear wiper). It triggers when the front wiper is on AUTO position and is almost at continuous speed (no more intermittent). But I agree, depending on the car speed and how the road is wet, the rear window is sometimes not wet enough and the rear wiper rattles a bit...

Columbus Map Update problem
Hi, I also failed to update my columbus map recently: @MartiniB's answer allowed me to download and extract the file on my SD card properly. However, I haven't uploaded the map on my Columbus yet.

Issue with driver side mirror tilting all the way down when opening driver side door
Hi, 2 questions: How old is your Kodiaq? and has the battery ever been replaced?

tyre repair kit
This kind of repair kits are more meant for slow pressure loss. Typically, not the kind of puncture that you must address "at the roadside in pouring rain to get you motoring again" 😉 It's more for punctures, that quietly look for at home on a week-end.

Misfueled Petrol engine with Diesel
Hi, There's no proper fuel filter on TSI petrol engines. It's a kind of fine strainer integrated to the fuel pump, directly in the tank. It has no own P/N. It's sold with the fuel pump. Considering your sayings, I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on the revometer and listen to the engine, just to check it's steady at idle these next days (weeks?).

Fuel filter
On my side I just pull out the old diesel filter, drop the new one, screw up the filter cap to recommended torque (written on the filter housing cap: should be something like 5 +/-2 Nm if I remember well). The just primed the pump using the ignition: 1. Set contact ON 2. Wait for pressure to rise (just listen to the fuel pump), let's say for 10s. 3. Set contact OFF 4. Wait for pressure to fall down, let's say for 15s. 5. Repeat from #1 4 to 5 times. 6. Start the engine and rev it to ~2000 rpm for 30s 7. Let the engine at idle and check it has no hiccup. If unfortunately it does have hiccup, restart procedure form #1. It's my 5th TDI engine over last 20 years. I thing I've changed 10 to 12 fuel filter using this method. No problem to report. Additionally, I've just checked on the workshop manual. It does mention any fuel suction nor filter housing cleaning: remove filter, set the new one. That's it.

tyre repair kit
Hi, Fortunately, I do have a spare wheel. However, I faced a minor puncture 2 years ago, with very slow pressure loss. As it was almost on the tyre edge, I knew Car repair centres would not accept a classic repair from the inside. Lost for lost, I bought a DIY repair kit for €10, which contained 5 worms and 2 tools to install them. Very easy to do and very efficient. I had driven over 10000 km with it without any pressure loss on my right front wheel, before I needed to replace both front tyres. If you do have a compressor, it's a good solution.

Fuel filter
Sorry, there was a mistypping. Correct P/N is 5Q0127177B for my TD190.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
´New’ map (files dated from April ´24 🤔) downloaded and unrarred (.7z file) on my laptop successfully. Now, still ~45mn to find to upload the new map on my Columbus. Maybe less since the bunch of files is now half smaller… 🤞😉

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Same bug when unzipping on the HDD of my laptop 🙄. I´m gonna try to download the .zip file from the VW portal.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Hi @MartiniB Thanks’ This is probably what I did wrong. I tried to unzip it directly on the SD card… I´ll try again. 😉

What have you done to your Superb III today?
POI (danger zones) updated on my Columbus. Unsuccessfully tried to update Columbus map: downloaded it from Skoda portal. Also surprised to get a 15Gb file only whereas former version was around twice bigger. Unzipped it on a SD card but it failled. I´ll wait for another update…. Not a big deal, since I mainly use Waze as a GPS.

Luggage light
Hello, Check the trunk sensor, on the boot sill. It’s a proximity sensor, which checks that the boot is closed. This sensor should be under the small cover that is spring-loaded around the locking ring. Just check it’s correctly connected. I had a similar problem on my wife´s former Audi Q3. Hope it helps.

Oil
Hi, You didn't tell us whether you Mk3 is a TDI or a TSI...😉 I assume it's a TDI. The oil spec is written on a sticker on top of the front grille. It should be 504.00-507.00 However, as far as I can remember, it doesn't state if it's 0W30 or 5W30. It used to be 0W30 at a time, but it has been replaced by 5W30. My TDI190, is currently 128000km on the clock and has only ever been filled with 5W30.

Noisy and creaking active suspensions - how to apply grease
It's not a simple job to remove the sway bars bushes. Thus, I did it while my Mk3 was on jack stands when I put winter wheels on. I did not remove them to grease them.

Noisy and creaking active suspensions - how to apply grease
I've done it on my front and rear sway bars bushes with marine grease. No more creaking / squeeking... It lasted roughly a year. I've done it again when I put winter wheels on.

I need to replace a headlamp washer cover on my Mk3
Maybe, there's a "maintenance mode" using VCDS or something like this? Otherwise, you may be showered when clipping the cover on the washer... 🤔
