  1. I had the 4 years service done in May by the official Skoda dealer I had bought the car from. Before leaving, I asked when the cam belt change was due and the guy replied that there was no cam belt change in the schedule, so my engine must have a cam chain.
  2. Mine disables the passenger door lock after three days of rest. I assume it does so to save battery charge.
  3. Me too... Mine dims the conventional dashboard lighting to give that warning.
  4. I do the same on my MY2019. But there was a rumor that the option of switching start/stop off would be abolished.
  5. She'll want to drive...
  6. Using one's brain is soo dated...
  7. My concern as well. According to Skoda Workshop manual, current cambelt replacement requires very careful handling of the new belt and a dedicated device for tuning the new installation.
  8. Skoda approved wheel sets for Karoq:
  9. Try first 10 min after the car was normally parked and locked. If the plug is on, then it's on permanently.
  10. Mine is a MY 19 and is permanently live too. I have a V-meter permanently plugged in, so I can monitor the battery voltage through the closed window while the car is parked and locked for several days.
  11. Sinclair ! ZX81 (playing ball...)
  12. Choosing the right exercise is key...
  13. Having auto-hold on also allows for fast starts on joints without the initial creeping forward before the turbo boost comes on.
  14. Mine does that after 100 hours driven.
  15. Until repaired, I would refrain from switching the screen heating on, as the thermal expansion might enlarge the cracks.
  16. Greta won't approve that, I'm sure. 😉
  17. See this recent thread:
  18. It all depends on whether the side mirrors are adjusted so as to minimize the blind spot or not.
  19. In the Slovenian and Italian online manuals, the specified bolt-tightening torque is 140 Nm as well.
  20. Amen to that!
  21. The wear pattern that you are getting may also be caused by severe underinflation. Check the pressure first.
  22. My 2005 Octavia came with locking wheel bolts, the 2019 Karoq didn't. Check the wheels. You will need to search for the adapter only if one of the bolt heads on each wheel is different from the other four conventional hexagonal heads.
  23. Mine is a 2019 1.5 TSI. No "mit Silikat" stamp, no bag, G13.
  24. On my 2019 Karoq, the engine code ("DADA" in my case) is also printed on a black label affixed on the bottom of the B pillar, passenger (right) side.
  25. OK, it's the capillary action, mainly induced by surface tension.
