  1. The Bluetooth module on mine is on the floor in front of the fully back drivers seat with a plastic cover over it.
  2. In some cars the EA111 lingered on as late as 2015 - to check lift the bonnet and look at the engine, if the oil filter top left above the alternator then it's the EA111 cam chain engine. Not a problem though by 2015 the engine is well sorted. I think the fact that it's 85ps shows it's the old engine.
  3. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173679748108 ?
  4. With multiple errors like that at once I feel this could be a low voltage issue. I suspect all is still not happy re battery and/or charging. The flashing glow plug light indicates an engine management issue -which could also be voltage related.
  5. Bluetooth module is under a plastic cover in front of the drivers seat - if pushed fully back!.
  6. I used to use STP oil flush on a mega miles 1.6TD 1990 Passat before an oil change as a couple of the hydraulic tappets were noisy - it quietened them down for a few thousand miles. Didn't want to rebuild the engine as the car was nearing the end of its life.
  7. On my old 2001 Octavia the original cat rotted through so I replaced with an aftermarket one that was easier to fit as it came with an additional flange between pipes. Lasted many years - still ok at the end of life of the car.
  8. Also water could get into the oil - best not to drive until sorted, water is not a good lubricant!
  9. Which model is your car? My S model tries to connect newer phones in "Premum" mode(rSAP?) as default which breaks everything as it disconnects the internal phone SIM and tries to use the car for signal that can't happen on my model. I change the car config (via main menu) for the phone to "Hands Free" mode and everything springs into life through Bluetooth (phone calls, Music via Amazon Echo Auto etc...). This certainly happened when connecting my last two phones Google Pixel 4a & Pixel 6a.
  10. I notice you are near me in Hull. I strongly recommend the local clutch/gearbox specialist Wallis Engineering for diagnosis & fixing, they will be way cheaper than the Skoda dealers and they really know their stuff. I had the gearbox rebuilt on Mrs BJ's Panda a few years ago and it's still going strong. You also have a VAG specialist nearby A&A Motors.
  11. To remove the connector you need a VAG connector removal tool - eg:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383862054994?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338723872&toolid=20006&customid=375pv1IVAAAAQ1q9atZWBX68li8JAAAAAA https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185669361127?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338364430&toolid=11000&_ul=UK&customid=Cj0KCQiA3eGfBhCeARIsACpJNU-8uvk6TMmnOQtlq139VmpAVGotMwadxyIjuGzm4jSuoB-Od2VaVCoaAlWnEALw_wcB&gclid=Cj0KCQiA3eGfBhCeARIsACpJNU-8uvk6TMmnOQtlq139VmpAVGotMwadxyIjuGzm4jSuoB-Od2VaVCoaAlWnEALw_wcB https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kuject-Connectors-Waterproof-Insulated-Automotive/dp/B07BJX51VT/ref=asc_df_B07BJX51VT/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=499289781055&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3780454366508882570&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006514&hvtargid=pla-964810294960&psc=1 Solder connectors useful for an exact replacement to repair the wiring or to connect a different horn.
  12. Any other issues at all? Eg relating to door wiring loom (door locks, windows etc). Obviously stop/start is shutting off your engine ok, so probably battery is ok but if the car senses anything out of the ordinary such as thinking a door/boot has been opened then it will revert to the message to manually restart the engine.
  13. I thought is was just us in Yorkshire that did that!!
  14. Have you overfilled with petrol? I had something similar with my 1.4tsi Superb mkII just after I had bought it when I had filled up "thoroughly - ie numerous clicks" in Luxembourg because the petrol was super cheap . It was still under warranty so I popped into a German dealer who after a thorough check over told me in a combination of German/English "one click halte!!". I followed that advice and it's been fine ever since. Stop/star error could be one of many potential issues inc failing battery (likely at this time of year), clutch pedal sensor (does cruise control work?) , temperature sensors. There is a complex algorithm re stop/start . I though on the Octavia there was a way of viewing the stop/start status?
  15. The standard 205/55 R16 tyres as fitted to my 2014 S model ride really well, are really quiet and cope with some pretty awful back roads near me.
  16. Was this age of Fabia ever fitted with the "mit silikat" header tank where the silikat "bag" has been bursting and blocking the fine core of the heater matrix?
  17. Any codes logged?
  18. Re one USB charger, Tomtom twin adapter, since I got the car back in 2015. I replaced my car battery during lockdown (at 5 years old) but it was the original Moll battery which don't have the best reputation. I ran similar devices in my previous 2003 mkI Superb owned from 2005 for 10 years on the original Varta battery - no issues.
  19. I leave a USB connector plugged in front and rear, not connected to any devices and I've never had any issues re battery drain.
  20. I think it's the whole push out centre cap.
  21. I think the smaller tsi petrol engine versions don't seem to have the dreaded "mit silikat" header tank. My sons 1.2tsi certainly doesn't have the dreaded bursting teabag. His is only the S model but it's still pretty impressive - even on this poverty model I'm amazed how well his mobile works with infotainment, especially using an Amazon Echo Auto to verbally control it. I'd say the best one to get is the very last 1.4.
  22. I use a split relay "SPLIT CHARGE RELAY PCT VOLTON ZR1220" wired inline to the boot 12v socket in my mkII Superb. Basically a 12v plug wired to the input and two sockets wired to the switched output. It detects the input voltage and makes the output sockets live when the engine is running and alternator is charging. For me it runs my dash cam and a coolbox in the boot - without this the coolbox would quickly flatten the battery, turns off a few seconds after stopping. EDIT - link:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/PCT-Automotive-Split-Charge-ZR1220/dp/B07KJTNG7V I've done a similar thing in my sons Octavia with the Volton and a 4 way 12v socket tucked behind the dash / transmission tunnel. His feeds dash cam, sat nav & Amazon Echo Auto.
  23. Hmm, I wish. I tried the Kamiq which might be a compromise but I just don't get the SUV thing especially re boot size and I think they look like boxes. Also after a test drive I felt soooo at home back in the Superb. It's so comfortable and refined.
  24. Hmm, I'd say that's a problem. Split at 12v with 2 usb feeds
