  1. What are you going to fit in the space in the spare wheel well that you have saved by using a space saver instead of a full sized spare?
  2. Which Bilstein B4 front shock absorbers did you fit? You may have accidentally fitted front shock absorbers for increased ride height, which is the complete opposite of what you want for the sportline with its presumably lowered ride height. To avoid this kind of mistake, it's important to match the OEM part number of your factory shock absorbers with the list of OEM part numbers that the particular Bilstein B4 shock absorber is sold to replace.
  3. If you get your car's build codes you should be able to work out what parts the car left the factory with, such as springs and shock absorbers. There is an ebay seller that can supply these for about 3 Euros. 6. 225/40R18 are easily damaged by potholes because the sidewalls are so low. 205/55R16 are rarely damaged by potholes, and are Europes most popular car tyre size. Low profile tyres are the equivalent of sleeping on a hard plank of wood. What you've done is take away your cushions.

  10. All Superb MK3 cars except for the 280HP/272HP 4x4 cars use 312x25mm front brake discs. The big 340x30mm front brake discs used on the Superb MK3 280HP/272HP 4x4 cars are matched with ventilated 310x22mm rear brake discs. So if you have solid 300x12mm rear brake discs, the front brake discs will be 16" rim compatible, ie. 312x25mm front brake discs. 310x22mm ventilated rear brake discs (used in combination with 340x30mm front brake discs) Skoda Superb MK3 1.6TDI – Generation: III B8 (3V) [2015 .. 2019] – Market: EUDM – Power: 118 hp | 88 kW | 120 PS – Engine: 1.6L, DCXA, I4, Diesel – Options: Active, Ambition, GreenLine, Style – Center Bore: 57.1 mm – PCD: 5x112 – Wheel Fasteners: Lug bolts – Wheel Tightening Torque: 140 Nm – Thread Size: M14 x 1.5 – Trim Production: [2015 .. 2018] Tire Rim 215/60R16 95V 6.5Jx16 ET41 2.3 / 2.1 215/55ZR17 94W 6.5Jx17 ET41 2.3 / 2.1 215/55ZR17 94W 7Jx17 ET40 2.3 / 2.1 235/45ZR18 94W 8Jx18 ET44 2.5 / 2.3 https://www.wheel-size.com/size/skoda/superb/2017/#trim-16tdi-eudm-118

  14. There's lots of options, but what you need is more sidewall height to prevent the tyres from being damaged by the rough roads. Fitting tyres with more sidewall height to your current 18" rims will make the outside diameter of the tyres too big. Therefore, to get more sidewall height you need smaller diameter rims such as 16". 225/60R16 tyres fitted to 7Jx16 ET45 5/112 57.1 rims (from the Yeti) is one option. 7Jx16 ET45 5/112 57.1 steel rim https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rims/details?vehicleId=185941160152274032&rimCode=ALCAR9257
  15. The best ride on standard tyres and rims will be 215/60R16 tyres fitted to 6.5Jx16 ET41 5/112 57.1 rims. However, if you fit the 215/60R16 tyres to slightly narrower 6Jx16 ET43 5/112 57.1 rims from the Karoq, you should be able to fit these in the spare wheel well with the carpet flush. The slightly narrower 6J rim will also help improve the ride comfort further. 6Jx16 ET43 5/112 57.1 steel rim (from the Karoq) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rims/details?vehicleId=1302234084152546416&rimCode=ALCAR6665 6.5Jx16 ET41 5/112 57.1 steel rim (from the Superb MK3) https://www.mytyres.co.uk/rims/details?vehicleId=1037328747869009008&rimCode=ALCAR8426

  17. As you can see below in the charts from wheel-size.com, the Karoq 4x4 uses bigger outside diameter tyres than the Karoq FWD (Front Wheel Drive). The Karoq 4x4 has 225/60R16, 225/55R17, 225/50R18, 225/45R19 tyre options. The Karoq FWD has 215/60R16, 215/55R17, 215/50R18, 225/40R19 tyre options. For an even more chunky look on the karoq 4x4, maybe try 235/60R16 on 7Jx16 ET45 rims. 7Jx16 ET45 rims were a standard rim size on the Superb MK2 and Yeti, with steel and alloy rims being available in this size. The 235/60R16 could be an ideal "chunky" tyre size for the Karoq 4x4 because the outside diameter is less than 0.5% bigger than the standard 225/45R19 tyre size. 19. Where is the air escaping? It might have nothing to do with the tyre. You might simply have a damaged or corroded rim. Sometimes it can be a leaky valve.
  20. According to Jurid on autodoc, 256mm front discs were fitted to cars up to and including 95HP. So for the Fabia MK3 1.2TSI 90HP and 1.0TSI 95HP 14" wheel will fits. 175/70R14 fitted to 5Jx14 ET35 5/100 57.1 rims is a standard tyre and rim size on the Fabia MK3. 175/70R14 has the same outside diameter and load index 84 (500kg) as the 185/60R15 tyre size. The 5Jx14 ET35 5/100 57.1 rim was used on cars such as the Fabia MK1/MK2/MK3. The Fabia MK1/MK2 used 165/70R14 tyres on this specification of rim whereas the later Fabia MK3 used 175/70R14 tyres on this specification of rim. Slightly oversize 185/70R14 fitted to the 5Jx14 ET35 5/100 57.1 rims would be a good alternative to 175/70R14 and 185/60R15 and give a super comfy ride. The Fabia MK4 has a 185/70R14 fitted to 5Jx14 ET38 5/100 57.1 option, although not necessarily in the UK where fashion dictates thin rubber bands. 21. Superb MK3 shock absorbers won't be correct for the Superb MK2 because they use different OEM part numbers. There are many different shock absorbers on the Superb MK2 depending on the car's build codes. Have you got a photo of the build code label? This is a white label stuck under the carpet near the spare wheel well. youtube video showing white label/build code label skoda parts catalogue https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs/skoda/CZ/SUP/632/4
  22. Some sellers are saying that the B measurement is 52mm. However, I suspect their measurement includes the lip, which you shouldn't include. I suspect 50mm is a better measurement, as you shouldn't include the lip in this measurement.
  23. You don't need to take the centre cap off when changing a wheel. That's only normally done when you fit a new tyre to the rim.
  24. A rubber mallet would have been much better to use than a hammer. The white one doesn't leave marks like a black one can do. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351021366894
  25. If you've got one of the 225 variants on the car, ie. 225/45R17, 225/40R18, 225/35R19, then by letting the air out of one so that the tyre goes completely flat and test fitting it into the spare wheel well, you can estimate whether an inflated 205/55R16 tyre would fit in the spare wheel well with the carpet flush. This is because an inflated 205/55R16 is about the same width as a deflated (so that the tyre's sidewalls are all floppy) 225 tyre.
