  1. I’ve de badged mine as well. I think the new black/white badge will look better than the all black that’s fitted at the minute. I would be very tempted to try a number plate surround as well.
  2. I think they look quite smart. The number plate breaks up the front grill and the rear is just new and will become that bit softer looking as time goes by. Love the colour, works extremely well with the black trim enhancements.
  3. The bay of evil. I have a saved search for racingline and see at least one set a month appear. I’m sure if a few were set for different makes it would open up your choices. Keep in mind most need 19” plus rims to fit due to clearance.
  4. I adjusted my throttle response settings within a few weeks of getting the car as junctions and roundabouts etc were damn near dangerous due to the lag. Compared to the pedal box, changing the pedal settings over vcds made very little difference from the experience I had.
  5. Answered above. 👍🏻
  6. Yes. You can make a slight adjustment (using a hammer). Tap the striker downwards on the side that’s rattling and click the seat back in place. That would be a permanent fix. your foam works until it wears depending on how often the seats come down, as does something like wiring loom tape.
  7. Is it definitely the boot? Folding rear seats have a bad habit of rattling on the striker.
  8. No apology needed. Easy to see the 190 and automatically pick it out as diesel. As far as we have been informed, The oil starts from factory as 0w-20 for the WLTP rating (as you stated). Techs and dealers that we deal with throughout the VAG range using those units all then add 5w-30 unless stated otherwise by owner or contract hire/lease company agreements. We actually confirmed this again with them before adding to my own, incase the GPF made any difference. I’ve used a 5w-30 LL fully synthetic in mine, but if OP wants to stay factory original, it’s 0w-20 as you originally posted above. Thing is, if already had an oil change it could already be on 5w-30 depending on the above criteria. So, as you quite correctly stated originally, it can be topped up with either the 0w-20 or the 5w-30 if needed by OP. Who has already answered between me reading your reply and boiling the kettle before typing. 😂
  9. I’m on my phone so can’t see individual information, so was going by the title which said mkiii 2.0 tsi 190. appologies to the OP if I have caused any confusion.
  10. My 2.0 sits about 29-30mpg urban and 38-44mpg on a longer run depending on roads. motorway would be closer to 38mpg and national speed limit/good B roads would be closer to 44mpg.
  11. They appear used but in really good nick quite often. Or reasonably often for what they are. people must map the car, fit the brakes then get bored not long after and sell everything to change the motor. £1000 is about average for a used set.
  12. I’m glad your sorted and back on the road again. the forge intake pipes are generally really good quality. The racingline inlet pipe is of similar quality as well. They will both work happily with the separate elbow. they are designed not to collapse under vacuum but they do need to be pliable enough to flex along with engine movement, so as not to damage the pipe itself or the intake. I’ve fixed some in the golf R’s where people fitted a hard pipe inlet and after a short while it actually cracked the outlet from the air box. replaced with an R600, separate inlet hose and elbow in most cases, and never had one that gave any issues from then on. Friends 7.5R runs 550ish bhp with that exact setup, and has done for years. She has been changing the oil every 6k and manually spooling up and down from she bought the car with just under 10k on it and now over 70k.
  13. Remove the trim on either side of the fog lights. You will see the sections when you look at the lower grill. That reveals the screws to remove the fog lights.
  14. ITG panel filter will do what your looking for a reasonable cost. Closed intakes like the R600 are great at what they do, once your at a certain level, but overkill if your not. open air intakes are all fart and no substance IMO. I have it in my head from somewhere that the K&N units didn’t actually filter even as well as the factory fitted units. (Although tired so google it yourself 😂) The likes of the ITG panel will filter every bit as well as a factory filter but with better overall flow through it.
  15. Yes. Mine does that. I take them out every summer and clean them.
  16. That wouldn’t involve an uprated turbo to achieve those figures.
  17. And this is first rate driving on a rig as well.
  18. This is over achieving for sim rigs at home.
  19. He’s not even trying to see those screens. 😂
  20. Turned mine on using ObdEleven but it’s a late 19 reg car.
  21. If I put mine in reverse and use the rear washer it also cleans the rear camera, as well as the rear windscreen.
  22. I run on sport +3 all the time. I’ve just become accustomed to being very light on the Throttle. Makes roundabouts and junctions a doddle compared to factory response.
