  1. We’re still running the TS-XW but did upgrade the pedals to the T-lcm’s with the apex mod on the brake pedal. Works really well. Bolted to the TR8 it’s all reasonably solid, with only a tiny bit of flex on the pedal plate under very hard braking. Not noticeable while in use, but can see slight movement if you watch the plate. how are you finding the direct drive wheel?
  2. I assume your seats fold down? tap the striker down with a hammer to tighten the fit when the latch clicks over it.
  3. Yes. Direct replacement. I fitted the TRC1070 super pro arms complete. Seem fine so far with no difference in NVH and has quietened the front end completely. Ordered them from progressive parts who confirmed fitment to the Superb before ordering.
  4. Has the car been mapped before you purchased it or is it running standard. move seen poor maps absolutely tanking fuel consumption.
  5. Thank you both. The AC engineer that installed it and maintained it for years has retired and everyone I’ve rang since has either said it’s not worth their while coming out to a small job or said they would and then never turned up. I will continue my search.
  6. Sorry to pinch this to ask, but how often should a household system need charged? Ours has stopped blowing cold and the fan on the outer unit is no longer coming on. I have assumed it’s maybe a low pressure issue that’s disabled it but I’ve no way to test it and may be wrong. trying to find someone local that will check it at the minute.
  7. As above. I fitted a DTE pedal box to mine and it removed the lag your feeling completely. Now roundabouts are a lot less like Russian roulette when entering them.
  8. EBC brakes direct is who I use. Should be a discount code on here somewhere if you use the search function. Can’t remember if it’s 5% or 10%. mot check their Facebook as there’s normally a discount code floating about somewhere.
  9. That’s the ones in the front. Also padded the boot cover, O/S quarter panel, rear seats and boot trim. To be honest, I have always blamed the terrible Monroe shocks for causing most of it. It’s quiet at the minute and hasn’t vibrated any new noises since the bilsteins went in. Time will tell if my theory is correct.
  10. I have my centre console, top speaker cover in the dash, info screen, Virtual dash, glovebox and both front doors padded for rattles and noises. Every now and then it still finds a way to rattle somewhere. it’s been like that from it was only a few months old, when I got it.
  11. I’m not sure on the part numbers as I honestly can’t remember and the invoice isint in front of me at the minute. front only will be fine for now until you get around to replacing the rears. I used new bilstein mounts and ordered an OEM set of bearings for them and refitted the original springs. the should be able to give you a rough idea on availability. I’ve seen them showing out of stock and then turning up within a few days.
  12. Call them directly
  13. Has the front bumper been painted at all? that’s a common issue when the front end has taken a bump.
  14. Personally, I replaced all four of the OEM Monroe units with bilstein B6 damptronics as IMO the Monroe units offer a horrifically poor ride quality and constantly fail and leak. if you were happy enough with them in the first place, then just pick anything as it couldn’t possibly be any worse. when doing mine, I replaced the top mounts with bilstein mounts and fitted a new OEM bearing, and used the original springs as they were like new. Completely transformed the ride and drive of the car to what it genuinely should have been like from factory.
  15. Just add the word quality to the original statement and I’d say your set. 😂
  16. Get a tin of silicone spray and coat the lower arm bushes and the ball joint and see if the noise goes away. Had more than a few that sounded like a bearing but didn’t change under load, and it was what I can only assume to be NVH from the bushes.
  17. The arms fit directly without any issues. Just set the alignment afterwards. I stuck the arms in to save hassle and avoid complication and have another set of bushes sitting here to fit to the original arms when I get a chance. sometimes the OEM bushes pop out handy enough, and sometimes they don’t. I just wanted to avoid the hassle of the latter. I’d already fitted the damptronics and haven’t really noticed any further NVH from fitting the super pro bushes.
  18. H&R do a front roll bar with upgraded bushes that so far on mine are completely silent. The main creaking in the front of mine was the front lower arm bushes. I fixed that by fitting super pro arms with uprated bushes and ball joints. Only time will tell how well they last and whether it permanently removes any creaking.
  19. We have several of these in the house and they work very well.
  20. Look it up in the search function. There’s a pic somewhere on here giving the part number of the expansion bottle you need without the silica bag. I replaced mine not long after getting the car with a genuine VAG non silica bottle.
  21. Does it do it when going slow and during any sort of steering adjustment when manoeuvring?
  22. Adjust the striker down slightly with a hammer on the side making the noise.
