roofbar & roofbox recommendations - kombi
I recently bought these, they are great for the money (£64), look fantastic as they are low profile. Don't have a sunroof, so don't know if they would work.

Rattle behind door panel
Having removed door cards from old cars in my younger days I wouldn't dream of doing it on a car nowadays. I always made things worse by breaking clips etc

Online Map Update
Point out where I defend Skoda? I'm correcting the assertation that it's a non-standard way of doing things. In fact, I definitely say "I understand your frustration..." if you would like to go back and re-read it.

Online Map Update
TBF, the map updates isn't a non-standard alternative. It's the official process that all of us without Skoda connect have to use. I understand your frustration with a service you have paid for, but it isn't a non-standard approach to do it by memory card.

Steering wheel/gear knob query
I had this on my old Galaxy. Repaired it myself with this kit: https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/leather-steering-wheel-repair-kit I found it worked really well and made the steering wheel look like new.

Need a rear light Unit following breakage
I reported a clipped wing mirror to my insurer, just cracked glass on my vehicle, in case the other party reported it and I got in trouble. No contact was made with the other driver, all costs paid for by myself, and insurance premiums increased due to an accident🤬 Don't report it would be my advice.

Hissing/crackle with infotainment off
Do you have the voice amplifier feature, not sure what it's called. Could it be that?

Oil question - is this normal
And 1L took me from just below minimum to 3/4 on the dipstick if I remember correctly.
-
Oil question - is this normal
Some use oil, some don't. Mine needed a 1L top up after about 10,000 miles, just before I had it serviced.

Low coolant question
Agree with above. Normal water is better than no water. Top up, drive home, then draw a little off and put concentrated coolant in. Mine needing topping up in the summer and the level has remained ok ever since.

Superb MK3 Headlight Distance
When I got my car, second hand, the lights were dangerously low. It was unsafe to drive in the dark on country roads. Found a quiet lane, grabbed a hex key, and sorted it in 5 minutes. No blinding of other drivers and no need to hook it up to a computer.

Two annoying things about S3, lights indicator and footwell lights
Every time my vehicle goes into the mechanic they turn the auto lights off. I have had an occasion where, they day after new tyres were fitted, I was driving in dusk and didn't realise the auto lights weren't on until another motorist shouted at me

Totally agree re: lights on indicator. Seems a backward step not to have a light on the display. Yes, the switch illuminates, but hardly safe to keep looking down when driving.

Service Costs - Confused or Naive
Thanks for the replies. Puts my mind at rest. Guess I'll buy my own parts another time so at least i dont pay vat on parts that have already had vat applied.

Service Costs - Confused or Naive
Hi, I took my Superb to a local independent for a full service and dsg oil change as the main dealer is 15 miles away. I asked for an estimate, was told about £350. The final bill is £460. My question is, on the itemised bill the parts are charged at what the garage paid, by the looks of the high price, including vat. Then the vat is added again by the garage itself. Is this normal practice? Am i being naive? My previous cars have always been done at a friends garage, but as he cant access the skoda service portal I used a different garage this time.

Automatic gear shift handle
My 2017 DSG lever is peeling badly, also the, hardly used, passenger door release lever has peeled. Obviously an area where Skoda cut costs.

DSG Gear Selector Replacement
It's time to replace my DSG Gear selector knob, the flaking chrome and wear looks awful. Has anyone tried something like this: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/DSG-AT-color-LED-Gear-position_62325029032.html?spm=a2700.galleryofferlist.normal_offer.d_title.6aac1ea6huWwRm I'm not sure if its even the correct part for a MK3, if anyone has tried this, or can advise i would be greatly appreciated. many thanks

Wheels help please
I don't find any problems with the 19s, but it is all that I know on the Superb. And they look cool.

Broken vent
I took mine to bits and it never went back together properly. Common problem for those with rugrats.

EGR & DPF Failure (3rd Time)
By the sounds of it you'd be better of with a petrol. Diesels really need using otherwise the car can miss the regen. There are additives that claim to force the regen, not sure if they work or not.

Where is the mobile phone signal booster?
I didn't realise it had one. Is it all models or does it come with the wireless charger?

What have you done to your Superb III today?
So did you buy the blue/yellow ones?

What have you done to your Superb III today?
I hard wired in my dash-cam, and then realised how crappy the glove box closure mechanism is. Doing 99% of the driving I didn't realise the left hand side doesn't close properly most of the times unless you give it a good kick. It seems there are 2 problems, 1/ the latch gets stuck and 2/ the aperture where the latch locates is round (surely this should have a flat front edge to locate the plunger?) Did anyone else resolve this (I see it mentioned quite a lot on other skoda forums) apart from replacing the entire glove box?
