Don't know on that basis messages are sent to the car. As far as I know all VAG TSI 245 KM cars are affected. In my case I also got a letter from the Skoda importer.

I guess it depends from car to car and also on your driving style.

I just removed mine today and it looks intact. Could be I don't drive in Sport mode that often. 🤭

It's not just that the cover can get loose over time. Even if it's not loose, it can start melting. This one (not mine) was still firmly attached to the motor and when the owner took it of, it was already melted a bit on the back side near the turbo.

You can't update maps on your own. You will get an OTA (over the air) update when it's available.

On their website it only says "SKODA OCTAVIA RS MK4 (2020-)". It doesn't say estate or HB. I would say it's the same for both cars. But as mentioned above, would be best to drop them an email and ask.

Thanks @MiniNinjaRob for suggestions. Dealers here are not very knowledgeable so it's easier to get the correct part number and just ask them to order it. I would like to get this part to play a bit with it with wrapping. I hate the piano black color on the center console. It gets scratched so easily. 😞

You are welcome. Not sure about the size. But I'm sure they are different because of those pins that the front one has and the rear doesn't.

It's 90 mm, correct. Kopacek doesn't have the original front emblem for the mk4. You can either buy the one that needs to be fitted on the grill with screws or the slightly bigger one which I think comes from the Kodiaq RS. If you want the original front mk4 VRS logo (or bonnet Skoda logo) in various colors, I would suggest checking Benny's EmblemDesign Facebook page. They are expensive, but he uses original ones and repaints them. As reported by many users, the quality is top notch. Below you can see how the front VRS logo is pust together from two pieces. The back plate and the letters.

Usually, when something major changes in the behavior of the car, it's when infotainment SW changes. I guess this is why we are still talking about infotainment SW version number.

Soooo...I have installed the update. Got notification "Update was installed successfully". But guess what....I still have version 1788! Not sure if I should cry or laugh.

But you already have issues before the update to 1803, right?

@xerces8 Can you give as an update how is your 1803 SW doing so far? Some of us currently having 1788 SW version, got an option today to install 1803 over the air.

Correct. It doesn't work when system is set to Slovenian language for example. But works when set to English.

Yeah, good point about the retrofit of the plumbing. I guess you would also need an additional motor/pump?
