  1. Thank you very much! That's also cured my curiosity (no cats were killed as an effect of it ). I'll reset it when it comes time to do the next service in April since that'll be one year since the last service and I don't do the mileage to warrant it more often than that.
  2. Bit of a stupid question, but hear me out. My car was serviced in April by myself (bought it without any service history, don't start, I know I was stupid). For a few weeks, I've had the wee thing come up to say "xxxx miles" until the next service, and also a little thing with a clock that seems to be counting down. My question is thus, how does it count until the next service, is it days, hours, miles, or whatever comes first?
  3. Based off of the information provided being an Octavia with the BKD engine and being a PD style, I'd hazard a guess that it's a Mk2 Octy based off of the engine. You'd have to let the OP give confirmation of the specific model year and generation of the system.
  4. Check his project thread. He's done a lot of good work with it since that photo and it's still WIP. Not bad for a crashed Furby tbh.
  5. Those are the right keys, as I learned after getting the wrong ones stuck in it and having to hack apart my dash to get the OEM stereo out.
  6. Could you perhaps pinch a battery from another car to check? That would help with the processes of elimination.
  7. My Fabia came up great after a bit of T-Cut compared to when I bought it.
  8. Welcome to the forums!
  9. Welcome to the forums. Hopefully this Octavia is a nice upgrade from your Mini!
  10. This would be better posted in the section for your Fabia, such as the MKII section. Hopefully this can be moved by a moderator.
  11. Cheers. I wasn't sure if it was the metallic blue they had some of the early Fabias in, including this one I grabbed off the 'net...
  12. Tomorrow at the earliest, I paid extra for 24hr delivery and the part was dispatched this morning. It'd be ideal to have a spare Fabia (or similar) kicking about for emergency use such as these times.
  13. Day 1½ of not being able to drive the Furby, really makes me realise how often I use/spend time in the car.
  14. It's looking very nice inside @Stewartasb! What colour is your car externally?
  15. That'd be cool, but I've had the battery disconnected too many times for that one.
  16. Is this just a Furby saloon? https://www.carscoops.com/2021/09/2022-skoda-slavia-spied-as-a-fabia-based-sedan/ I mean, it does look better than the charmingly hideous one of these... Okay, I just read the article fully, looks like it's for India only, but still interesting nevertheless.
  17. Aye Pete, that's not a problem. I'll be in touch via PM once the new one is in.
  18. Nope, nothing. But I could pull the pedal towards me and it was behaving as normal. I think it'll be the same as your daughter's Corsa, being one unit.
  19. Just bumping to state my final solution to this problem after having a local independent look at the Fabia. It was indeed the throttle pedal sensor, I've got the old one off (to procure a part number) and am currently waiting for the arrival of a new one.
