  1. Is this just a Furby saloon? https://www.carscoops.com/2021/09/2022-skoda-slavia-spied-as-a-fabia-based-sedan/ I mean, it does look better than the charmingly hideous one of these... Okay, I just read the article fully, looks like it's for India only, but still interesting nevertheless.
  2. Aye Pete, that's not a problem. I'll be in touch via PM once the new one is in.
  3. Nope, nothing. But I could pull the pedal towards me and it was behaving as normal. I think it'll be the same as your daughter's Corsa, being one unit.
  4. Just bumping to state my final solution to this problem after having a local independent look at the Fabia. It was indeed the throttle pedal sensor, I've got the old one off (to procure a part number) and am currently waiting for the arrival of a new one.
  5. Just as an update, the wee red nugget has been carefully probed by my local independent, who has reaffirmed my guess with the pedal position sensor. It's going to be off the road for a couple of days since I've pulled the trim apart to find a part number and am currently awaiting the arrival of a part which should be here as of Thursday with any luck... I paid the extra cost for "express" delivery, so it better be here by then.
  6. I mean, I wouldn't recommend it, as you don't know if you're paying for any given increase. Just my thoughts, at least.
  7. Welcome to the forums!
  8. That's what put me off doing mine. I plan on doing the vent surrounds however.
  9. That's alright, I'm just on edge as it costs me enough time and money as it is!
  10. I haven't got to the stage where I've had to do this but I don't think the rear at the driver's side is far away. Got a little water on the metal sill area but none inside... yet.
  11. Loved those Evos since I was a wee lad. My father always wanted one too
  12. Lovely looking project! I just adore Quattros!
  13. Dodgy throttle pedal position sensor. You can pull the pedal back and the idling settles or it'll stop holding revs. I keep losing power intermittently (had my foot down in 3rd at 3-5k rpm and nothing where it used to throw me in the seat) and the car doesn't always start when warm - I'm thinking this is coil packs, which are on the to-do list once the pedal position sensor is done along with some sparkplugs. I can get most the parts at a good price at my local TMS too, so that's a bonus.
  14. The wee red nugget is going in for some TLC at my local independent tomorrow. Hoping the issues are nothing serious or expensive, we'll wait and see however.
  15. Very common fault with these Fabias. Whip the door card off and fire sealant around the metal carrier. @Wino is a good fella to talk to about this in depth. Just use bathroom sealant AFAIK.
  16. Sounds like me with the the stereo from swapping radios and attempting to remove the old one.
  17. This is an old one that I took before I got relegated to my old phone. It's now my profile image too.
  18. I wouldn't know, I avoid wrapping like the plague. There's a video for removing it, if that helps.
  19. What engine do you have? Can you tell us the engine code please?
  20. That's easier then lol.
