  1. Just as an update, the wee red nugget has been carefully probed by my local independent, who has reaffirmed my guess with the pedal position sensor. It's going to be off the road for a couple of days since I've pulled the trim apart to find a part number and am currently awaiting the arrival of a part which should be here as of Thursday with any luck... I paid the extra cost for "express" delivery, so it better be here by then.
  2. I mean, I wouldn't recommend it, as you don't know if you're paying for any given increase. Just my thoughts, at least.
  3. Welcome to the forums!
  4. That's what put me off doing mine. I plan on doing the vent surrounds however.
  5. Agreed. Really makes it look smart.
  6. That's alright, I'm just on edge as it costs me enough time and money as it is!
  7. I haven't got to the stage where I've had to do this but I don't think the rear at the driver's side is far away. Got a little water on the metal sill area but none inside... yet.
  8. Loved those Evos since I was a wee lad. My father always wanted one too
  9. I shall await with bated breath.
  10. Lovely looking project! I just adore Quattros!
  11. Dodgy throttle pedal position sensor. You can pull the pedal back and the idling settles or it'll stop holding revs. I keep losing power intermittently (had my foot down in 3rd at 3-5k rpm and nothing where it used to throw me in the seat) and the car doesn't always start when warm - I'm thinking this is coil packs, which are on the to-do list once the pedal position sensor is done along with some sparkplugs. I can get most the parts at a good price at my local TMS too, so that's a bonus.
  12. The wee red nugget is going in for some TLC at my local independent tomorrow. Hoping the issues are nothing serious or expensive, we'll wait and see however.
  13. Very common fault with these Fabias. Whip the door card off and fire sealant around the metal carrier. @Wino is a good fella to talk to about this in depth. Just use bathroom sealant AFAIK.
  14. Sounds like me with the the stereo from swapping radios and attempting to remove the old one.
  15. This is an old one that I took before I got relegated to my old phone. It's now my profile image too.
  16. I wouldn't know, I avoid wrapping like the plague. There's a video for removing it, if that helps.
  17. What engine do you have? Can you tell us the engine code please?
  18. That's easier then lol.
  19. There's Comfort models with grey trim (mostly older ones) and some with black trim. See here:
  20. You'll find production dates on things dotted around your car too if/when you have to repair something.
  21. Sep is right here. When I read it I could tell it's got a poor map on it. I'd look into getting that rectified @Chubuking.
  22. Would it perhaps be easier to sell that Mondeo tyre and then use the funds acquired to purchase one specifically for this Octavia?
  23. I had a gouge out of my passenger mirror as if it had been up a brick wall. Fortunately I knew a guy who fixed it for £30, for filler and respray etc. You could always get a cover off of a scrap car too and make it a neat wee job I suppose. I had a recommendation, also for when it's warmer, have you considered replacing your lower grey trim panels for black from a Comfort, Ambiente, vRS, or Elegance? I reckon it'd smarten up your car a little, if you don't mind me saying so.
  24. Seats from 476 up for sale on eBay... must be getting broken up. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185132490259?hash=item2b1ac19e13:g:eyoAAOSwZC5hem8b
