  1. Hello and welcome to Briskoda. You'll find a wealth of information here on just about everything... perhaps. Enjoy the site!
  2. I love that shape of Jaaaaaaaaaaaag. Used to be a guy down the road from me with one in that exact colour.
  3. No truer words have ever been spoken. I bet you it's reading this... somehow.
  4. I suppose so. I felt that, given the similar issue, that it may be of use.
  5. Not great due to the fact I'm on the train but this was taken before we left Lochwinnoch... as I'm writing this, the sunset is very pretty to look at.
  6. Thank you. I can put that on the troubleshooting list. I'll get to this when, as mentioned, I won't freeze to death in the process.
  7. We had a similar issue with my Granda's 2008 Fiat Grande Punto where it needed the release mechanism replaced. It, however, relied on a key fob or interior button only. Hope this helps you.
  8. My sentiments exactly, Nigel. I'm very lucky to have the opportunity of going to University and I shan't squander it. The reversing issue is pretty low on my priority list anyway since it doesn't cause a direct safety concern in my eyes since I'm more than capable of working round it. It's merely a niggle-type problem.
  9. It's sunny now, but I'm writing this from a train to Glasgow. Due to the ongoing malarkey surrounding pandemics, I was at university one day a week, the rest was online either "live" or pre-recorded. However, I've been moved to having a lecture or seminar each day so I no longer have enough time to get jobs done on the car since commuting and education take up my daylight hours, unfortunately.
  10. It was running, the blower was drowning it out since I had it up full to demist my windscreen. Engine was warm as I had completed my 12 1/2 mile drive home from the train station. I had parked in order to drop something off at a relatives on a slight incline, when reversing in order to pull out from behind another car, it would not let me engage reverse unless I went into neutral and let go of the clutch before attempting the process again. The fault can occur on flat ground as well, even during warm and cold periods. The engine is normally warm however. Hope this helps give background to the issue somewhat.
  11. I also +1 this. A "wallet style" case is an ideal choice for protecting the front of your phone properly. Add a screen protector too and you're fine and dandy.
  12. Hello and welcome to Briskoda! This place is a wealth of knowledge so you shouldn't be stuck at all!
  13. I always thought it had synchro in first but not reverse. However, I'm not completely sure.
  14. Lee and I have been conversing back and forth so the plan is in motion.
  15. The 6v model didn't get the cover and got the airbox instead, as you'll be aware. The first air filter I ordered for mine arrived and it was for a 6v and not a 12v. So I sent it back and just went to TMS in Ayr, only £4.65 there!
  16. Ooooh look at yous, able to run yours without a cover... Meanwhile... mine is part of the cover...
  17. I managed to capture the issue present... if it's the clutch needing bled then it can wait for now. 20220110_195911.mp4
  18. Don't remind me. 20220105_175501 (1).mp4
  19. I just buy a bottle of screenwash from Tesco's as and when required since I shop in there anyway.
  20. My thoughts exactly. It's definitely not mapped, and if it is, it's a very s*** map in all honesty.
  21. Finest bit of Swedish tank-ware made. Enjoy!
  22. My Granda is originally from Greenock, living in a variety of places that mostly have been knocked down since.
  23. Hello and welcome to Briskoda! Your Octavia looks very nice, especially with the shine on the paintwork.
  24. Hello and welcome to Briskoda! I hope you are enjoying your Fabia.
