Yeah it was fitted pre facelift too (also for heated steering wheel airbags) all used the 'facelift' airbag. The face of the wheel looks exactly the same. I know someone with a pre facelift airbag that may sell it seperate to the steering wheel if youre interested.

They always overthink and butcher them clips! Worst part is, they cant be purchased on their own - so if damaged, the struts are almost useless. Unless of course you can take your old ones and put on these.

What didnt work about the ebay ones? Because as much as there may be a chance that they came out the box faulty - the more likely scenario is that there is a fault that isnt the boot struts and thats why it didnt fix it by fitting new ones. Have you got the fault codes or more specific about the cause of the fault? Also - if it helps i can get genuine electric boot struts for £900 or so (inc VAT)

Shame you got rid of it. I would of been taking that car elsewhere as it sounds like the garage didn’t know what they were doing and just playing parts roulette in the hope it fixed something.

There is a set procedure on a diagnostic tool to bleed the coolant system. most including garages say they ‘don’t need it’ but air pockets can form in the system in places you wouldn’t instantly notice if the procedure isn’t ran. Id be checking they ran the coolant vent procedure first. If not it may be a possibly partially blocked heater matrix

I believe it can be reset but only with ODIS or taking it out and sending it away to someone like ecu testing or another ecu repair company

Buy a repair kit from Bigg Red comes with new seals, piston and everything. Less than £20 per corner usually.

Both of these are normal features after a car restart. nothing can be done about the virtual cockpit. Regarding the driving mode - it can be modified but requires an extensive change to the vehicle dataset, not just a coding/adaptation change.

Why would you do that? Youll leave the car with errors, you also need a different latch, new brackets and new ball joints. the boot will also beep at you and the latch will throw a tantrum every time it’s opened/closed unless the system is coded out. I believe the airbag was changed at this point. Before end of 2018 the airbag had a shorter upper section of the cover and the steering wheel had a thicker upper area of where the airbag would butt up against. After end of 2018 the upper flap was about twice the length and the steering wheel had a much skinnier upper area. you can fit either steering wheel but may have to replace the airbag also.

When I’m home later I’ll pull up the network diagram for that lin network. Its possible a different lin component is causing the issue. maybe the ac pressure sensor or humidity sensor

Done roughly 7/8 now if any more people are interested. Can normally turn them around in 48 hours and have them back in the post

My keyless fob batteries last about a year to 18 months so 20 months if fairly reasonable I’d say.

There are a lot of clones. If it was used there should be a change of ownership fee to pay also, there is also a vin limit. If you paid less than £200 even used, you’ve got a cheap clone and chances are that is your issue.

Why have you created 2 accounts with slightly different names? onto your issue - have you tried any other modules to see if the code is accepted? Let us know if other modules work. also where did you get the vcds tool.

you are getting confused between adaptations and adaptions. adaptations are the cars settings adaptions are dynamic values the car adjusts depending on certain things like driving style and such.

Hard to say in the picture but it looks like a torx 30 bolt with a m6 or m8 thread and a washer (may have to add your own washer) try orbital fasteners and buy a variety of lengths and sizes? They’re only a few pennies each

That should be just fine. Set dimmwert EF to 127 as well else the lights won’t flash out of phase of the indicators like you’ve asked them to. (will only flash out of phase if drl are off, as AB then CD take priority) or set EF dimming direction to minimise and leave dinmwert at 0 and have it in phase. So when the indicator is lit, it turns the drl off.

What do you mean you reset adaptations to default? and if you mean adaptation channels have all had their values messed with (not that I’m sure how you’d manage that) every single car will be different and you can’t just take someone else’s adaptation channels and put them on your car

Service history has to be checked by a garage or main dealer. I am saying there is only 1 service on the online service history, that’s not to say there aren’t others but they would need paper records.

I wouldnt be worried at a tyre - it would have been replaced to pass the MOT. Now regarding the service history - Service record Flexible oil change service GB26084C 2018-08-20 4977 mi Service record Delivery inspection GB30155C 2017-12-12 0 mi The online history only shows 1 service in 2018 so I would be hoping for a lot of paperwork to back up any future services. Which it must have... probably wouldnt be running if it done 55k without a service.

Please dont do it like that, do it properly; Create a new Leuchte channel in the BCM and run your LEDs off of that, if you use the DRL wire at the headlights your LEDs will flicker as its not a simple 12V feed. There will be a lot of spare channels in your bcm, the hardest part will be running the wire through the bulkhead.
