  1. Nope, needs to be a car with both seats From the factory and is it on both seats? if so, on the passenger side there is 4 connectors going into the box under the seat, the 32 pin silver/grey connector with the pink/purple locking tab. if you can disconnect that and on the side is a small plastic release to see all the wires, I need to know if there’s a brown wire in pin 2. I know it’s a huge ask but would help me out a lot
  2. You need to run the correct wires and replace the heater controls and also make sure your bcm is mid+ or high It is an option from 2019 onwards for the superb although not sure what country or spec it falls under.
  3. S0069120020-Basic_equipment__From_March_2015 Date on the page 506/11 is 07.2019
  4. Hi everyone, This is a very specific request but im in the process of experimenting with fitting a memory passenger seat in a pre 2019 car. The issue is, i think the wiring diagram is completely wrong and I need someone who can spare 5 minutes to pop a connector from under their passenger seat and take a photo for me. This would help massively! You will need a post midyear 2018 superb with memory electric passenger seat though! Anyone that can help - please let me know.
  5. Typical dealer rubbish.... Find yourself a decent transmission specialist and take it there to be looked at. I would trust a word they say, if its leaking its something to worry about, if its a tiny sweat then its not the end of the world. Something else to note, the seals if they have failed dont just fail for no reason, normal cause is a worn bearing causing the shaft to move out of centre and wearing the seal out, depending on the leak location could be a plug loose, a driveshaft bearing, a prop shaft bearing or simply a contaminated and damaged seal. Basically, take it to a transmission specialist and get a second opinion. Or if youre near north london, pop it down to me and ill spend 10 minutes and take a look and let you know if theyre having you on or if it truly needs looking at.
  6. I think you may be a bit confused - when i refer to the electronic water pump i mean the belt driven pump has an electronically controlled shroud - now if the garage has fitted a shroudless pump that would be saving about £50, the auxiliary water pumps are what im assuming you mean by electronic ones? Its also a bit confusing for everyone if you say it was £375 but forget to mention that that was 4 years ago long before prices sky rocketed for a lot of this work - may be worth editing your post to make that clear so others dont think they are being ripped off in this current climate.
  7. Perfect thanks! The Skoda manual doesnt give a clear location but that helps a lot.
  8. @JR RS On the subject of DCC. Do you have any photos of the DCC accelerometer locations - 1 on each front strut tower and one near one of the rear strut towers. Im doing a retrofit on my car and cant find the exact locations for the rear one. I believe its buried behind the trim on the left or right of the boot area.
  9. That is incredibly cheap, who carried out the work? Did they reuse the coolant? did they fit the correct electronic water pump?
  10. Do you mean DSG gearbox? Which gearbox was it, im going to assume a 7 speed dry clutch DQ200 box, if so, yes they are common for clutch packs. Mileage and car details would help also
  11. Good question, im not sure if it shows most recent or the first encounter but it will show an error counter for the amount of times its happened.
  12. How long is a piece of string? country? Dealer or independent? Garages rate? Genuine or aftermarket parts? What engine you have? What gearbox you have? there are so many variables that effect the price so we can’t really give an exact price and anything said may not relate to your car at all. im assuming by your quote in euros you are not in the U.K so prices may vary depending on location massively.
  13. The reason a pr code sticker is not fitted is because your car will have 100s of PR codes assigned to it. too many to put on a sticker. regarding brakes - if you have a 272/280 you will have the bigger brakes, Everyone else gets the smaller brakes
  14. this is the possible codes for module 03 on mqb platform cars - 01138 01295 01972 02168 02537 02727 02817 02852 02919 03431 03499 04205 04286 04490 04538 04814 05008 05869? 06723 07483? 09102 09318 09854 11966 15081 18573 20103 24435 24990 25004 25757 28183 31857 37202 40168 44595 40304 10505 19249 10815 37203 11122 14108 14451 25377 32304 33776 33777 37201 37483 74999 75201 75202 Dont try the full list! Youll block the module. Codes to try are 31857, 24990, 20103 or 44595.
  15. What parts store? They are Audi part numbers so chances are Skoda wont sell them.
  16. That is for an octavia where the door is removed to access the fuse box. You can buy the door on its own for the superb but it wont be listed on erwin as it is just 2 pins as hinges to pull the door off.
  17. Don’t waste your money. the glovebox door is not a serviceable part so you won’t find anything in Erwin for it. it simply shows you how to replace the complete glovebox assembly. And also the internals are not a part supplied individually
  18. Being in the trade myself I see this more than often. so many times people will come to me for brakes cause I’m cheaper than most - when they arrive I’ll take a look and the multiple times I’ve turned people away and returned the parts because they’re brakes are perfectly fine only to find out they were told at their mot/service that the brakes are almost metal to metal or something along those lines. I hate that people do this cause it gives a bad reputation for all mechanics and make us all look stupid. it’s not just dealers that do this, independent garages do this too!
  19. Keep the aftermarket Towbar but get original electronics.
  20. Welcome - What coding have you done currently and I mean list every piece of coding or changes you’ve done so I know what you have missed/done wrong. also did you follow any form of guide or what to know what needs coding/changes? And is it applicable to the mqb platform I’ve done quite a few of these without issues and it looks like the part numbers are correct
  21. Have you had the water pump shroud inspected? if it’s stuck in the always open position then there won’t be any temperature regulation to keep the temperature up. not sure about the tdi but on the newer tsi they done away with the dsg thermostat instead replacing it with an electronic valve which is bolted too the engine just above the gearbox.
  22. The fuse box has what are called busbars, 3 busbars - permenent 12v, ignition on 12v and ignition on (less cranking). All fuses in that row will be on that bus bar whether populated with a fuse and a output terminal or not
  23. They dont have a serviceable filter. There is nothing to change. Ive pulled tanks on cars that are between 1 and 30 years old, between 10 and 250,000 miles and ill tell you this, ive never found sediment or anything else in the tanks that would cause blockages (except for one that had sugar and sand in it, but thats a different story). Petrol and diesel are very clean as fuels go now and there is no contamination in there that blocks things anymore. I dont think it will be long till diesels dont have filters either, the only reason they are still kept is water separation issues. *talking most cases here - obviously if a part fails and flows back to the tank, vandalism or a dirty fuel nozzle could still cause contamination.
