Superb Mk III Ambient lighting not lighting up completely.
There is 2 plugs that do this trim panels lighting, one for left and one for right. If you take the glovebox out completely you will be able to see if they’re both plugged in. Swap the plugs over and see if the fault changes to drivers side. You’ve then eliminated the fault on the car or the strip and we can work from there.

Brake fluid change criteria?
Qualified mechanic here - Skoda and other maindealers set a time limit on brake fluid and probably dont even own a hygroscopic tester. The brake fluid manufacturers state that between 0-1% water concentration is perfectly fine. Between 1-2% there is a slight loss of hydraulic efficiency when the fluid heats up. Anything over the 2% is when they class the fluid as a significant lower efficiency. The efficiency goes down when the fluid heats up causing cavitation in the lines and reducing the effectiveness of the brakes. Now from a prospective of working on cars and my own and not a sales man - Have it tested ideally at the reservoir and also at the caliper as these will be points of ingress. Chances are it will be in the orange/green zone. Dont change it. But that being said the longest id leave it before changing is 4/5 years depending on driving style.

Sportline
TFSI is the older variant of engine, the newer ones use TSI engines so just checking what year superb youre looking at? Sportline is a styling pack more than a sports pack, the suspension is the same among all Superb's except for if you get DCC it allows control over this. Personally i have no issues with my comfort at all and its a very nice ride. Fuel consumption varies greatly depending on what engine, what fuel, 4x4 or 2wd, distance journeys. Personally i get about 45mpg in a 220bhp 2wd doing lots of motorway driving

Infotainment and sat nav (MIB3) keeps restarting...anyone else?
Its generally the adhesive in the loom tape used to wrap the wires. A lot of adhesives are made out of animal parts or so ive been told. Hence why my dogs favorite toy is a box of expensive loom tape!!!

Was a 3 free services offer available in Apr May 2018?
I believe the most they do is a 2 service deal.

Installing spare wheel
Not really a toy wheel when its a type approved part. The reason for the speed restriction (no distance restrictions) is as you say, its not going to perform the same as a full size, in fact the width of the space saver is only 20% smaller than the original width. Hence the speed restriction. They wouldnt put it in the car and give you the maximum speed you can drive if it wasnt a safe alternative as a temporary measure up till that restriction. Same way putting foam in the tyre is a temporary measure. Its not meant to drive you the length of the country, just to get you somewhere to have a permanent fix carried out. Its a lot of money to spend and effort to waste in my opinion for a spare, and this is from the person that spends a lot of money and wastes a lot of time on my superb! But to answer your question, the parts are as follows 3v0012115e - foam insert for a 18 inch spare, no 19 inch spare available 6q0867749 - strap for foam insert 4d0012219a - wheel wrench 3q0011031a - jack 5q0011221 - jack arm 3g0803899e - big screw and nut for securing the wheel

How to remove drivers kick panel?
See the rectangle near the foot rest. Remove it. there’s a torx screw behind it, after this pull the end near the foot rest towards the door then pull the entire assembly downwards

Skoda Superb automatically switched to S instead of D on the display
You’ve most likely just gone to D and knocked it down again to put it into S unless it’s happening multiple times?

Installing spare wheel
There isn’t really a safety issue to it, the difference with the reduced speed and the reduced travel distance makes it minimal. Again with performance it’s not gonna be going round a track, it’s to keep you mobile to get the original repaired or replaced. that’s just my thoughts on it, for the cost and hassle of a full size spare for the small amount of time if ever it will be used, it’s not worth it to me

Installing spare wheel
A simple forum search would of saved you a lot of pain and hassle.🤪 It’s been covered many times and that’s why the car doesn’t come with a full size spare as there is simply no room for it a half size spare kit with the 18 inch wheel would of been a better option as it comes as a kit and fits without issue and comes with the jack and everything else.

Rear door not locking with central locking
You will most likely require a new door latch as it contains the full locking mechanism. plug the car in and check for faults

Rear Climate Control / Seat Heating
Hey all, Can someone confirm this to me and whether or not it works how i describe it. Needs to a model with rear heating and rear seat heating also If you use the lock on the infotainment display will it lock the seat heating too? If you lock it with rear seat heating on, will it stay on its current setting? Will the seat heating work with ignition on and engine off? Thank you.

Failed, an eyewateringly expensive control unit on a 2016 Superb Estate
Skoda U.K. won’t contribute to an outside company. once the module is fitted it will need specialist coding with odis to get it working properly

Corroded Brakes - TSB?
If you’re at 50,000 miles the tsb will not apply to you at all. thats a decent bit of life out of them. £370 is an absolute con! Go to an independent and ask for pagid, probably half the price

Strange rattle from drivers door
Chances are one of the screws holding the window runner have came loose and they are causing it.
-
Blindspot detection and lane assist
Yup thats the one. So you will have 1 of multiple of these - lane assist - traffic sign recognition - high beam assist if you have any of these, lane assist can be added - im assuming your car is a 2019 onward model.
