Glad my Kamiq has normal indicator bulbs!
  2. Guess it depends how you use it, I have no issues with my cup holders.
  3. There's a significant difference in torque and power between the 2 engines, if funds allow I'd go for the 1.5
  4. Yes, recirculate remains on until you switch it off or switch off engine.
  5. No, my Kamiq bought from new is now 2 and a half years old, been bombproof.
  6. I've seen some say it's no longer possible but best to ask in the Octavia forum as this is the Kamiq one.
  7. Agreed, mine work fine too.

That's not my experience on numerous cars including two Skodas. My dumb cruise control pretty much matches the set speed. The only time it struggles is going downhill just like it does if you were trying to control your speed manually, either by braking or changing gear.

Exactly. Cruise control will not maintain set speed going downhill under certain circumstances, that's why I switch my DSG to manual and select a more appropriate gear. Even that doesn't always stop the speed increasing.

Nope because I switch it off the minute I start off!
  11. My Skoda ones are consistent too on long journeys, although as I would expect mileage left varies depending on how you're driving, petrol is consumed more quickly if you're travelling at 80 rather than 50, in France that is so not speeding 😃. It's a bit like the GPS I use when walking, my time to destination varies depending on how fast I'm walking.
  12. That's perfectly normally as you can fill the tank above what the sensor can read. You will then find the gauge won't move until the fuel drops to the point where it can be read. Does it on both our Skodas and did it on my previous Ford.
  13. It isn't random but it will vary depending on your mpg figure.
  14. Possibly, I haven't found anything frustrating with my wife's Karoq other than she gets to drive it more than me!
  15. As you admit the shock absorbers are bad the first step is to have them changed.

Maybe explain exactly what you mean by that, as AA has never done anything I wasn't expecting, and I can't think what you mean by 'taking over your radio'.
  17. Just to add I have a full size spare in mine, not a space saver. Size is 205/60 16 same as on my car. Aware the OP is asking about 18" wheels, but may help others reading this.
  18. I'm one of the KISS brigade. I turn off lane assist and stop/start the second I switch on the engine and before I move off. I buy the most basic model I can. My car has a key. You can keep most of these so called driver aids and other gadgets. Works for me and I've had no issues with my last 3 new cars, my Ford Focus went 10 years with no issue, and still going strong 2 years later as sold it to a friend. Our nearly 7 year old Karoq has been bombproof and so has my 2 year old Kamiq.

Tweezers etc go into slots in the foam
  20. Never heard that on my 1.5 DSG and it's now over 2 years old.
  21. No need to turn things off as you drive along, soon as I start the engine I now turn stuff off like lane assist and stop/start before I even drive off, only takes a second or two.
  22. We regularly leave our Karoq for 6 to 7 weeks while at our house in France. Starts perfectly when we return and that's on a nearly 7 year old battery so you should be fine.
  23. Those figures are way off, around £50 to change mine at an independent garage including pump.
  24. I run mine from one of the usb sockets, it's not permanently live.
  25. The 2 second delay is normal hill hold on a Skoda Kamiq.
