Four years and four months on - a progress report of sorts
Do you have a link for it? There are a lot out there and they are not all the same.I would prefer to get one some one has actually tried. (you can't really trust reviews on Amazon)

Karoq SE Tech questions
If it has Kessy, Keyless opening, it can be disabled. Mine is. Then use an RFID pouch for carrying keys in my pocket. So lock car with button on keyfob, put fob in pouch and pouch in pocket. As Haynes manuals would say entry is reverse procedure. Stop start requires the key to be in the car to work. Note you need to register the keys to the car via the primary users. You need BOTH keys when you buy the car and remove ALL users , generate a new prime user and password and change the Skoda Connect App. Otherwise previous owners could access the car and or track the location.

Boot area bag hooks
If you do that the hooks can slid along the rail. I hook the straps over two hooks and seperate them so the straps are tensioned and the bag doesn't fall off

Amundsen Sat Nav
100% agree. The manuals are not good at all.

Delete Old Destinations on Sat Nav
Not with my wife either. Oh, you mean the Nav system!.... Seriously, I think I had my finger on the screen. You have to start at the extreme right of the box and sort of drag the edge to the left. A bit like with deleting called numbers on an iPhone. Once you get it: it is obvious until you forget, as I usually do, and start a new thread in a years time....

Delete Old Destinations on Sat Nav
When you get the knack it is easy, however, getting the knack.....

Amundsen Sat Nav
Where in the manual? I find the Karoq manual appalling to use, and it keeps referring to the "on-line" manual, which never seems to have anything other than vague one line answers that don't work. .

Amundsen Sat Nav
I find it very good, especially as it has live traffic updates. I can't see why people would not use it.

How to avoid tolls amundsen Mib3
As the title, how do you set the Nave system to avoid toll roads? I live near Birmingham, and we have the M66 toll running through the middle of the area. As the charge is £9.90 I want to avoid it but I can't see how to set "avoid Tolls" either in the nave system nor the Škoda Connect App. Any ideas?

Software Update - under warranty part of recall
The MS updates usually do list all the things that are fixed or changed. Though you do have to go looking for it. Automotive SW is different in that it has to be implemented to ISO26262 and MISRA-C and all changes have to be documented. That is normal in industrial software less so in stuff going to consumers, though usually you can, eventually, find the information. However it does tend to be less details than the sort of thing you are referring to.

Battery ‘State of Charge’.
#I wonder at what point they will put solar panels into the roof of cars for a constant tricked charge when parked? Given the higher continual drain on car batteries with all the electronics, I seem like a no-brainer. Especially for EV's where it could be the difference between keeping the system live, if not drivable, and a total shutdown.

Window Cleaning.
It only takes a few moments and once you start to notice the grime you always see it. I went out and did mine.... well, the windscreen. Didn't bother with the rest.

Tyre fitters who do not mark your alloys (and those to avoid)
Has anyone tried Costco in Birmingham?

Window Cleaning.
This is an Old Wives Tale... however the old wives knew what they were talking about. It works. I heard it for house windows with "brown paper" It certainly works on house windows. However given the price (and rarity) of newspapers these days Unicorn tears and silk might be cheaper. 🙂 With reminds me I the wife was only saying yesterday that the windscreen, inside, needs cleaning....

New Rubber Mats
Likewise for the OEM Karoq mats. A long discussion in here says it is worth having both the Skoda rubber mats and the carpet one for winter and summer. Cheaper than doing the same with wheels/tyres 🙂

Karoq or Audi Q3
Aren't they very different cars on the same chassis?

Help - Cargo nets
Actually, it was not much effort. I edit a magazine and needed a break for 5 minutes. Yes, I am sure that there are, "somewhere" on this forum, pictures of the mounting points with a spare wheel set up because they are not quite so obvious and I dimly recall a discussion with pictures. .

Help - Cargo nets
As you will note, the three nets above share mounting points. Whilst that is the intended use by Škoda, they are quite adaptable and can be used differently. Also, 3rd party sets may work differently. The 4th net I have is a limited edition and is apparently a special order in some areas of Germany....

Help - Cargo nets
I have the Deluxe 4 piece set. Just done the photos... to avoid confusion I will do one per post. I believe the spare wheel raises the floor, so you have to hunt around for the mounts.

Help - Cargo nets
Are they genuine Skoda nets? Only asking because if not they may not be the same. Also do you have varoflex seats and/or a spare tyre? Tomorrow I can photograph the labels and nets and show you how mine are meant to be rigged according to Skoda. However there are plastic bits on the top where the openings are that must be there for something but I have never figured out what. In reality they are flexible and you can use them however you want to but being an engineer I want to know how Skoda designed them to be used.

Nearly 2 years of ownership.
You can set the speed limiter software by software.... (see recursion) You trust the software to do as it is told? Automotive SW is better than the average consumer or IT software, but there has been some appalling automotive software, it has been improving, but whole areas still need a complete overhaul. Companies use weasel words to get round the regulations. That and "a few rouge developers" 🙂
